The staff at this hostel are very friendly and helpful. The location makes it easy to get around the city by bus or subway. The plumbing is not brilliant and not the place the place to stay if you want somewhere quiet.

I would absolutely recommend El Candil. I wanted to stay at a place where I could meet cool people but wouldn't be kept up ALL hours of the night. This was perfect, not only is there a cool but chill vibe and a beautiful roof patio but it is in the heart of Palermo, filled with great restaurants and really trendy, unique boutiques. But more than anything I was impressed with the staff. I got painfully sick from food poisoning and they were so amazingly attentive and helpful, and for a female traveling alone, I was so very appreciative.

very nice and very friendly staff. There seems to be a little problem with soundproofing though. Price is great too
