Casa da Tauria B&B is situated in a small and typical Portuguese village 5 minutes drive from Peniche, on the countryside but one step away from the beach and just 50 minutes drive from Lisbon.

After complete renovation all the rooms are comfortably furnished and fully equipped to help you relax and enjoy this wonderful region. All have access to tea and coffee making facilities and hair dryers. Laundry and ironing self service facilities are also available.
The purpose was to create a relaxed and friendly place with comfortable ensuite bedrooms, merging traditional architecture with bright colors and modern furniture, that would suit you visiting Peniche to explore the area. The emphasis is very much on a welcoming & informal atmosphere where you feel completely at home. Your pet is welcome, on request, at no additional costs.

Start the day with a varied breakfast, looking out over the sunny courtyard. Welcome to finish having a coffee outside, enjoying the fresh morning air. In the afternoon enjoy a drink on the large terrace under a palm tree or umbrella while preparing a barbecue or a picnic. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready to be used. Or relax in the lounge with fireplace and TV, to plan the next day or play chess. Whether you come for a longer stay or a short break, we endeavour to make it a pleasurable experience.

Located at the heart of the village, with restaurants, bars and shops nearby, but also just moments away from sites of cultural and historic interest, as well as beautiful countryside and wonderful beaches. Many water sports such as surfing and swimming can be enjoyed within a 5 minutes drive along the coast. A widely varied range of other outdoor sports, from snorkelling to mountain biking can also be practiced in the surroundings. A great base for exploring this lovely part of Portugal with its beautiful towns, full of history: Óbidos, Alcobaça, Batalha or Tomar. The Berlenga Island, just off the coast is a true natural paradise. The so well known “Baleal” and “Supertubos” beaches, are just 4km away and if required you have a bus stop nearby.
