The People's History Museum is dedicated to the conservation, interpretation and study of material relating to the history of working people in Britain. Housing an accessible, comprehensive collection, the museum is the first national museum to be located in Manchester.
Formed originally from a small collection owned by the Trade Union, Labour and Co-operative History Society in the 1960s, the People's History Museum has prospered to become one of Manchester's most significant museums, as well as a nationally important resource celebrating the contribution of working people to the British society.
