Very bad service... I called to cancel my reservation within the time that i was given and they said it was not possible and charged me the fee anyway. Very bad bad bad. Don't believe the time and don't book in advance!

  2. Kathleen From Australia On November 30, -0001

Tried to change booking as made for wrong date, then to cancel but not able to do so on Hostels Club number after 30 tries. FINALLY got AAE to change date, but were not happy to do so. THEN when we Arr. LAX @ midnight, we tried to call AAE Econo Hotel numerous times-NO REPLY. thought they might have gone broke. Too scared to move from airport into strange city at 1.30am. So very uncomfortable night in airport. Totally disgusted by your company and the hotel and will never use either again.

very nice place! just a stone's throw from the airport and Venice beach! :P

  4. Caroline From Germany On November 30, -0001

If you're staying for one night and arrive at LAX it's a good stay. The area is not very inviting to go for a walk. Our room was old, but clean. It was a non-smoking room, but you could tell that people smoked in it. There is no common-room in the hotel, there are not even chairs in the (very small) breakfast room. We arrived before we could check-in at 2pm, so we had to wait a bit, but the staff was kind enough to hurry up getting the room cleaned faster, so we could check in 12:30pm.

  5. Matthias From Switzerland On November 30, -0001

takes more than an hour to hollywood or santa monica and is not close to anything except the airport. Besides that, the room was always very clean but the toilet got plugged several times.

  6. Ashley From USA On November 30, -0001

This place is in the hood! Not the safest area and the photos don't prove what they're selling. If you had to get in/out in a few hours, maybe. But staying for more than one day? Not at all. nice staff, though

  7. jiachi From China On November 30, -0001

Easy to get to the airport by bus, but the location seems not very safe at night. Room is clean. If you just want to find a place to stay before you get on the plane this can be a choice.

  8. Mariana From Brazil On November 30, -0001

Far away from the city but close to the beaches and hollywood centre.

  9. May From England On November 30, -0001

    Claen hotel, professional staff.

  10. Stine From Denmark On November 30, -0001

Nice big and clean rooms. Taxi to LAX is around 15 dollars.

We found this hostel adequate to our needs, but feel that the staff need to be more conversant with public transport and local places of interest CynthiaTennant & Nikki Armstrong (Tasmania)

I arrived late, only for sleeping. It was not very clean and it's strange for me having breakfast standing up.

  13. Madeline From Australia On November 30, -0001

Well, they need to be willing to answer questions, not falsely advertise themselves on the internet (you may book a twin room, you will get a double) and remember to change the toilet paper in the room! My tip - use the internet to plan your travel if you are using public transport, cause you really can save hours if you look around at the difference between the metro and the bus network. THERE IS A METRO LINE ABOUT 1/2 hour away from the motel

Bello, economico e pulito, posizione eccellente, personale e accoglienza: 0rribili. Beautiful, economic and clean, excellent position, personal and reception:horrible.

The facilities can be improved. There was no outgoing telephone calls connection on October 10 & 11 '07 due to failed system in entire hotel. This was a big inconvenience.

  16. Pang From Malaysia On November 30, -0001

Telephone staff was damn unfriendly and unhelpful when I wanted to get from the GreyHound station to the hotel. Was extremely rude. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Even saw to my personal requests. Distance rather inaccessible, but good food and shopping readily available nearby. Security in the area is generally safe. No worries about that.
