This is a nice hostel with friendly staff. We splashed out and stayed in the suite (double room with bathroom, though actually in the corridor, not part of the room). We liked the staff though found standards to be pretty sloppy. E.g. we asked for the sheets to be changed after 2 days (standard daily change in brazil in any type of hotel) and they refused. Not good customer service for a place charging $R150/night!
Fantastic views from the room, in a clean and safe location. The hostel has a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Lapa, the party place in Rio, is a few minutes down the hill, and a short taxi ride back up! Great location, nice rooms, friendly staff.

Fantastic terrace with a nice view of Rio. Very friendly staff, great breakfast and towels are included. Unfortunately internet access is not included, the hostel charges 6 reais extra per hour of internet use.
Tito, one of yhe host is very welcoming and helpful. He gives the charm to this adress !
The best hostel you can imagine, located in beautiful Santa Terasa and walking distance to the nightlife of Lapa, a terrasse with an incredible view over the city and cosy hammocks, big and clean dorms, friendly staff and a lovely couple running the place. You will love it!
