The HI-Montreal Youth Hostel is dedicated to showing you the best of Montreal and making sure you meet other travelers! We'll not only joyfully send you to our favorite local spots, but we'll even take you there!

We are centrally located in downtown Montreal where all the action is: nightclubs, irish pubs, trendy boutiques, cheap asian restaurants and even...an indian buffet! Given we wouldn't want you to miss out on all the fun...we have no curfew!!! So feel free to experience Montreal to its fullest!

We also have a cafe-bar on-site where you can enjoy dinners or simply have a drink with other travelers.

For the little chefs (or the broke ones), our kitchen provides you with all the basic ingredients to feed yourself: spices, oil, pancake batter, oatmeal, instant coffee, tea, etc. Feel free to help yourself, but leave some stuff behind for the others!

Our wonderful staff will be more than happy to give you tips on the best places to eat, some cool cafes, the most vibrating nightclubs, their favorite watering holes and much more. Just come and ask or visit our Facebook page for our daily suggestions!

We also organize free daily activities, such as pub crawls and walking tours, to make you discover the city and meet fellow travelers.

Note that our outings and activities are open to all !!

HI-Montreal is Officially Recognized by Hostelsclub as an ECO-FRIENDLY Hostel with new ecological and biodegradable cleaning products, swapping regular light bulbs out for CFLs, installing recycling bins on each floor and in all common areas, looking for green suppliers, and offering guests information on public transportation and carpooling -- and reusable grocery bags to take shopping.
