Getting to Hakusyu from Nearby Airports
Traveling to Hakusyu, a serene destination nestled in Uchinomaki, Aso, Japan, begins with your arrival at the nearest airport, Kumamoto Airport (KMJ). Located approximately 30 kilometers from Hakusyu, this airport is the most convenient gateway for travelers. Upon landing, you can opt for a rental car to fully enjoy the scenic drive through the lush landscapes of Kumamoto Prefecture. The journey takes about 40 minutes via Route 57, where you'll be treated to breathtaking views of rolling hills and the majestic Aso volcano looming in the distance. Alternatively, if you prefer using public transportation, take a bus from Kumamoto Airport to Kumamoto Station, which operates frequently and takes around 50 minutes. From Kumamoto Station, you can catch a local train on the Hohi Line towards Aso Station. Once you arrive at Aso Station, you can take a taxi or a local bus to reach Hakusyu, which is about a 20-minute ride away.
