    Beautiful & characterful, lots of activities (tapas crawl,walking tour of city etc), happy hour with excellent prices, cheap breakfast, - one of the best hostels I've stayed in

    good place!!attention the scale in lobby weights 2 kilos more than the real, at least two kilos more than the scales in the airport.

    While cats has an amazing common space complete with Turkish style design, a fountain and led light roof there was no hot water in the showers for 3 days and when I asked why, the staff did nothing to compensate this although we still paid full price. Not even a drinks voucher. A cool hostel with great location and clean rooms but cold showers and staff that it seems were just as cold.

    A hostel to have fun..not to relax...little rooms and without Windows...bathrooms little and far away from the rooms...great bar

    This is the best hostel I've stayed in. Great location in the middle of Madrid, reasonably priced and clean. The pub crawl was a lot of fun and there was beer pong in the bar beforehand.

    Very well organised, massive hostel, in a very impressive setting (an old palace!) Everything worked beautifully and extremely good value for money. BIG RECOMMENDATION!

    Great place to visit, perfectly located. Very friendly staff. Offers tons of great things to do tour wise. Would highly recommend cat's hostel to anyone I meet.

    Perfect area, beautiful building, kind staff! BUT: Music on 'till 1 or 2am in the hostel's bar (and 5am on Halloween) if your bedroom is the one above the hostel's bar it is not so enjoyable! Please ask guests to switch off their pc at night. Someone in my bedroom left it open (and bright!) all night! Thanks

    it could be quite tiresome to walk to the hostel from Atocha renefe station but the location is good to walk over the center of Madrid.
