Hip Karma Hostel is not the typical hostel you’ll find on your travels. We are a small, super clean, luxurious hostel that was built in 2009. Our style is simple and minimalistic, our design is functional and our facilities are top quality. Below is a short description of what you will receive when you stay with us.
BEDS:
The rooms are dormitory style with bunk beds. You will receive a bed with PRIVACY and SECURITY. All beds have stylish PRIVACY CURTAINS and reading light, so when you want a little privacy to read or work on your laptop computer you just simply close the curtains and turn on your light. All beds come with a FREE SECURITY LOCKER. Inside each locker you have and electrical outlet. Here you can safely charge; your mobile phone, photo camera, video camera, IPOD or laptop computer. (You can bring our own padlock or use one of ours with a 5 euro refundable deposit) If you’re traveling without your sleeping bag or towel you can rent one from us. Complete bed linen set and towels rent for 2 euro each.
FACILITIES:
We want the hostel to FEEL GOOD in the hot of summer or the cold of winter so the complete facility has central air conditioning and heating. We want all guest to BE HAPPY so when you take a bed at Hip Karma Hostel you also receive FREE INTERNET & WIFI, FREE BAG STORRAGE, FREE MAP OF BARCELONA, FREE HOT PRIVATE SHOWERS (boys and girls have separate shower rooms) and FREE KITCHEN FACILITIES including satellite TV and space in the big fridge.
LOCATION:
The Hip Karma Hostel is conveniently located in the heart of Barcelona’s center. We’re just a 10 minute walk to Barcelona’s most touristic areas El Barrio Gottico, El Borne and Passeige de Gracia. In these areas you will find; La Rambla, Picasso Museum The Cathedral, La Boqueria Food Market, Plaza Reial, Plaza Catalunya, Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, Park Citadella and Barcelona’s main shopping areas. For the few other attractions that are a little out of the center like the Beach/Port Area, Sagrada Familia, Park Guell or Montjuic the metro is the fastest and easiest way to arrive. The metro stop URQUINOANA is just 1 block away from our front door and the center stop CATALUNYA is just a short 10 minute walk. So you can see we have an ideal location if you want to be in the center of the city and close to most all the attractions

HOSTEL CONDITIONS:
MINIMUM STAY: 2 nights
PADLOCK DEPOSIT: 5 euros or I.D. required at check in time.
SMOKING POLICY: The entire enviroment is NON SMOKING.
NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED, this is not a party hostel.
Please note that no parties are allowed in the hostel.
All persons caught being too loud or noisy will be asked to leave the hostel without reimbursement.
CHECK IN: FROM 12:00 NOON
After 21:00 hrs please send us an e-mail with your arrival time.
CHECK OUT: 11:00 a.m.
LUGGAGE/BAGS: We provide luggage storage so you don’t have to worry about your belongings before leaving the city.

NOTE: For bookings arriving from 1st November 2012, there is a 0.75 EUR city tax per person per night, which is not included in the price. People under 17 years old are exempt.
The rate applies to a maximum of 2 people per room, and a maximum of 7 nights stay per person.
IMPORTANT!!! During the winter months of NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, JANUARY AND FEBRUARY the RECEPTION desk will be CLOSED. I made a mistake in the reservation and reserved for the next day, but i was still in another continet, no way I cloud have made it to the hostel. Send them an e-mail exaining (5min after the reservation) but they still charged me two days for noshow.
Great location. Quite, clean hostel.
The hostel was cleaned daily. But the bathroom got dirty very quickly and it was quite unpleasant to use it. The rest was very good, very nice and helpful staff and the rooms were good and clean.

Outstandingly clean comparing to other hostels, situated in the very center. Curtains on the beds ensure some privacy.

Hostel Hip Karma was such a nice background to my Barcelona visit! Exactly what I would have wished from a hostel for a not so young single traveller: quite nights, good facilities (kitchen use, internet acces, space for my stuff in the room, bed quality, cleanliness) with good location). I was happy to choose it, and stay here again in Barcelona.

i haven't been in so many hostels but this one was the best for me.
The hostal is new and very nice. It is presented as a non-alcoholic, but in reality nobody cares, so there were some people drunk and making noise during our stay. They clean in the morning, so in the evening the showers are not superclean. Also, bed linen and towels are not provided if you don!t pay for it. The location is excellent and everything is new and nice. Can recommend it.

So far the best hostel i have stayed. Super clean , free internet, security, great location and the staffs( Bruno and Alex ) are really friendly and helpful. The prices are really good as well
