Backpackers House BCN - Barcelona, Spain

I have nothing but positive memories of the Backpacker's House BCN. Not only was it clean, safe, and comfortable, but also located right in the middle of "it all," a short walk from anything I wanted to see in Barcelona. The rooms have a brightly colored, fun atmosphere, and the staff...well: the people who work at Backpacker's House BCN shocked me with their gregarious charm. They went out of their way to include me in the Barcelona life, and found creative ways to get around the language barrier. When I left and came back, I felt as though I was returning HOME. They were flexible and understanding with changes in my own schedule and rooms. I showed up after the office was closed, but they found me a perfect room anyway, in their free time. It's a great place. And not too expensive, either.

Great location, really close to Placa Catalunya. We were really positivly surprised that we got a room with private shower and toilette, was great ;) Will recommend it and come again when returning to Barcelona. Thanks!

Nice hostel! The main minus - located on a very noisy street! We couldn't open windows at night at all. Also - too busy at the kitchen at breakfast.. Location is pretty good though!

The hostel was clean, the people were friendly but a little hard to get a hold of at times, very good location, i would definitely recommend it.

Perfect location in the very center of the city. Very small, dark rooms but clean. Simple breakfast (jam and toast bread). Standard corresponds with price.

nice, little hostel. Perfect for low budget-travels. The staff at the reception was very friendly, the "breakfast-woman" wasn't so friendly like the other staff (maybe the time was to early =)) If I come one more time to barcelona I will book a bed in the Backpackers House. Thanks for the great time!!

The hostel could be very nice,if it was cleaner, especiallz the bathrooms should be cleaned accurately every day. The rooms are okay, with the walls painted in nice colors. The breakfast is like nothing, some old cornflakes, toast and instant coffee. But the hostel is cheap and in the centre, for two or three days it's okay, if you're not very sophisticated.

We think the room is too expensive for what you get. The room we got was not very clean and pretty noisy. You could hear the people in the room next door putting on their deoderant.The location was great but is was just too expensive.

Of the 23 hostels I have been in across Europe, this was by far the best. Vibrant atmosphere with vibrant staff. Gorgeous part of town. Carlos, Aida and everybody there was absolutely amazing. Thank you.

Great location, lovely staff

Everything is quite old, but enought cleean and work well. the point it's old even make the hostel a biy stylish. it was quite cold in the room (for the second nite they rought electro heating, but still was not warm enough) and in bathrooms. it was noisy during night

The view from our room is nice. Unfortunately, the beds in our room was not so clean. But, the kitchen and living room are quite big.

I really liked this hostel, great location, we can cook, nice and clean bathroom, they have two computers with internet for guests and also wifi. Besides, they have microwave and refrigerator, and all other kitchen amenities, so you can cook at the hostel if you want!

It was a really nice hostel! 2 free computers with internet acces, nice people to meet! only maybe the included breakfast was missing! i defenetly go back to this youth hotel if i go back to barcelona!

I recomend this hostel to everyone - very spaceful rooms, many showers and tiolets - everything was clean. There're all what you need. Great position - 5 minuts walking to the city centre

Great view from window, there is a nice restaurant near hostel. We had to wait near door for 30 minutes to check-in. Rooms require some modernizing.

a hostel in the heart of barcelona, near ramblas! Friendly and uncomplicated staff! I would join again!:)

Plus: - beautiful location, right in the centre. - cheap rooms. Minus: - thin walls, you hear everything.. - staff inconsistent about extra fee for debit card payment. make sure you don't pay too much for this since there is NO official price. overall rating: 7. good enough for a few days!

Very well located, more or less clean, but quite old buildings. TV and Internet weren't working tho, but overall it was a good place to stay for a few days !
