It´s a place for all backpackers, surfers, people travelling alone or in small groups.
Our hostel, allows travellers to have a good night´s sleep, to prepare their own meals, to do the laundry etc.
We have a nice lounge where you can enjoy a DVD or simply relax in the company of a good book. We also offer you 24 hours free internet, and surfboards and bicycles to rent.
Peniche is privileged in several aspects, one of which is its wonderful seaside. This Peninsula is known worldwide for its perfect conditions for surfing. Here you can surf every day whatever the direction of the wind or swells. It´s perfect for all kinds of surfers. If you´re a beginner we can help you find the perfect surf school to improve your surfing. If you´re already an expert, you should come and enjoy the miles of great waves along our coast.
We are also close to night life activities, bars and restaurants.
Our central location makes it easy to access the nearby beaches or take fabulous strolls along the coastline. You can also enjoy the nearby gardens, the historic XIV century fortress, small churches and ancient builldings all over town.
The road to the Carvoeiro Cape is an unforgettable sight with exotic and rare scenery and geological formations, designed by the sea and the actions of time which have created a work of art. The Berlangas Islands are always present within this vast panorama.
Peniche, land of fishermen, has magnificent seafood.. Its specialities are fresh fish, Fish Stew and the famous “Sweated” Lobster or a simple grilled sardine.
The Region has many colours: the green of the vineyards, the blue of the sea and the golden sands of the beaches. It’s a territory full of intense luminosity where the sea coast and the countryside pair up to offer a pleasant climate all year long.

We had a perfect stay at PHBackpackers in Peniche. It's a small hostel, so you get to know the other people. After a great breakfast in the morning you can take a surf lesson or hire boards to surf on your own. They also book trips to Berlenga Island for. Highly recommend this apartment!

Its a very harmonic hostel with very chilled staff and living people. Specially the spontaneous booking option was our rescue of the day.

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in Peniche. Wij hadden 2 kamers voor 2 personen met raam en deze waren prima. De ligging is goed en het onthaal van joe en Xana was heel vriendelijk en ook waren ze zeer behulpzaam.

Very nice and helpful owner and staff, simple but good breakfast, clean showers and rooms, space to meet people and relax. Absolutely worth the money. We had a wonderful time here.

Really nice small hostel with extremely friendly staff. They really make you feel as wanted guest and give you all the help and answers you need. I stayed only for 3 nights but felt like home right from the beginning - there's this family spirit going on :) If I would need to think something negative to say maybe the beds were bit too squeeky but it didn't bother me too much at all. Extra thanks to Xana (both Xanas were just great!) who always made me smile in the mornings!

The hostel was very nice. The creative accommodation as well as the nice people who work there create a comfortable atmosphere so that you`re feeling like in a flat share.based on the small flat you get to know each other easily. in fact i can recommend this hostel and i would come back when i would be back in Peniche.

The youth hostel to Peniche was very well situated, clean and functional (kitchen and bathrooms). However the welcomewas very disappointing. Nobody who is not well occupied to me of us for the check in and for the questions whom we put her on the city (was even on Facebook on the computer for example). Average breakfast: a lot of people, not too much place by too many choices...

This is a great hostel and a home away from home, becuase it is so small you get to know everyone easily. Shana and Eva were fantastic and always friendly. I highly reccomend Peniche Hostel!

We had a very enjoyable stay in Peniche Hostel, the atmosphere over there is great. The hostel is mad to meet people and exchange. The great plus is the possibility to take surf lessons.
