We had a great time here. I highly recommend this hostel. Stuff is friendly and great rooms. Near the tram and metro. Great value for the money!
Almost no furniture in the room to accomodate clothes. All the rest was quite OK
It was very pleasent stay, and was simillar to our stay in some hotels. We are very sutisfied, and left with a smile. Obrigado
No surprises. The room was seen in the pictures of the site. Central, clean. To improve the treatment of one of the receptionists, a woman in the mornings. It proved to be the one person in Portugal who had no interest in reporting, rather nasty.
Nice place for the price. Internet IS expensive 10-15 Euros a day (depending on how long you buy)... I just found myself a Starbucks and worked there for the price of a coffee. Otherwise staff was nice. The room was clean. Air conditioning worked. Location was within a half block of a Metro and a fairly easy walk (10 minutes?) of downtown. I would certainly stay again.
Good location and clean. Staff was not very friendly and helpful and charge for internet was expensive.
a very clean, nice looking place. people at reception are very nice but they do not all speak portuguese so it was difficult to communicate. it is quite far from the most interesting places in Lisbon if you want to go on foot but metro, bus and tramway station are very close. you can also find supermarket and cafes near the hostel. Unfortunately there is no kitchen there.
I would strongly recommend PENSAO RESIDENCIAL DO SUL. The overall impression was excellent.Hostel is newly refurbished, very clean, quiet and with air con. The picture of reception area speaks for itself. It is situated very close to metro station INTENDENTE and great local "Pastelarnia" ideal for breakfasts.Staff doesn't speak much English, but is very helpful anyway. It is a great value for this money. Ideal for someone seeking a good standard quiet cosy place.
If you need a cheap accomodation, which is clean, this is the right one for you. However in the hostel itself, there is not much going on. Unfortunately our room was located to the main street, so it was impossible to sleep with an opened windows. The rest was fine.
Good quality/price!!
Good functional and clean rooms, for excellent price and more than decent location.
Very clean and comfortable, very close to the city center but not in a very pleasant area, mostly at night. Not good for girls traveling alone.
It was a very nice and clean hostel. The staff knows english, and is very helpful.
Nice place. Room with air conditioning, tv; nice and clean bathroom. People very kind and helpful. There is nothing wrong to say about it.
Our stay in this hostel was nice, but there were some problems. We cancelled the last night a week before our arrival. We received a confirmation email, but on the location nobody wanted to know about it, so we had to pay for it in spite of not sleeping there. The rooms were quite clean, but we met some cockroach, too... The hostel itself is really delightful, and nice furnished, it has a real "Lisbon feeling".
Calm, really clean, big rooms...For the price, it was really perfect!
it's a really really nice hotel! i was staying in a 4-bed room. it's very clean and tidy. The special thing is that there is an air-conditioner inside!!!! This hotel makes us want to stay in Lisbon longer!
It's a very good residencial. Very clean, modern rooms in a stylish old building. Near the airport (only 10 minutes by taxi, €10), 10 minutes walk to the centre, next to a metro stop. Simply perfect.
We've spent 5 nights at the Do Sul and it's been a very nice experience. The building was very old but everything in the rooms was perfectly new. Daily cleaning, nice staff, good location (8 min walking to Rossio). Totally recomendable
Credo che non ci sia il riscaldamento, comunue ai primi di novembre il tempo era bellissimo e faceva caldo! if you're searching for a roof on your head, in a good position and for a few money, that's great. we were searching for that, and this hostel was petty good. if you're searching for something more, maybe it's not the right place: the building is quite old and the rooms are very simple. Maybe it's unheated, but i'm not sure: the weather in early november was very nice and warm!
