The hostel is located in an old house. Therefore, if your nose is sensitie, you can feel a slight specific odour of these houses there (e.g., on the staircase) sometimes. On the other hand, Mr. Leo is very kind and helpful, and keeps everything very clean and working. The hostel is also calm. So it gives you exactly what you can expect: reasoable accommodation for reasonable price.

  17. Nai-Chi From Canada On October 23, 2007

It was pretty good. Not too far from the main attractions so it's easy to get anywhere you want. It's also pretty clean. The only thing I've found hard while staying at this place was the noices. Since walls are very thin, we can hear everything so I did lack sleep during my staying...people were loud early in the morning and late at night.

  18. Thomas From Germany On October 7, 2007

good hostel, good connection to the central city.

  19. Mikael From France On July 4, 2007

Very nice staff and nice room. A bit too far from the touristic center, but the metro is nearby. You can cook in the kitchen. Nice cheap restaurants not far away.

I arrived very late due to a delayed flight, but Leo was waiting to let me in, and was very courteous despite the late hour. The room was very clean and had everything I needed. The hostel was itself very clean, if a little dilapidated in the dining area, and very comfortable in general. I felt very safe there as there are good locks and a lot of attention given to security. If there was one improvement I would like to see it is the downstairs front door to the building. The lock was broken so it stood open at all times. This was a little risky at night as the hostel is on the 2nd floor but you need to enter the downstairs foyer where the door is open, and it was dimly lit. I enjoyed the relaxed homely atmosphere, and Leo was very helpful with local information, especially when I enquired about the movie theatre across the road...not a suitable theatre for respectable people I was told!! I would definitely stay there again as it is very close to the metro and some good local shops and restaurants, have recommended it to some friends already.
