Very clean accomodation, good location,interesting atmosphere...
Very dirty rooms. They hardly clean. In one room there were everywhere small insects even in our bed! They never put fresh towels and soap in the bathrooms.
Cheap, clean enough and very basic. Good choice - if you can take the club nearby playing loud music until late at night. Poorly sound isolated too...
Good hostel in a characteristic old house with azulejos in the stairwell on the second floor not far from the centre (also good connection to the centre by bus, tram and taxi). The owners are a very nice older couple of whom the woman speaks English. This part of the city, Madragoa, is rather calm, friendly and colourful. From the balcony you have a beautiful view at the Tejo and surrounding houses also with azulejos. For breakfast I advise you to go to Haiti (same street). There are several restaurants near by.
