    Hotel especially well located in the very heart of Baixa, close to main street promenade, restaurants, Santa Justa Lift (to Bairro Alto) and central squares Rossio, Restauradores etc. Also very well communicated with the airport; bus from Portela Airport stops just a five-minute walk from the hotel door. The hotel offers quite decent living conditions, with linens and towels changed daily; small soaps are also provided in the bathroom. A continental breakfast is offered untill 10AM, and is served in a cosy dining room on an individual tray, constisting of fresh bread rolls (one is sweet), butter, choice of jams,tea and coffee(very good). Not too much but enough to start a day. The reception staff is helpful and gentle, but not especially socializing. If you prefer more hotel than hostal atmosphere it would be a good choice for the money spent. Of course, those seeking and elegance and utmost comfort should look for other address as rooms and lobby, though clean enough, need refurbishment in terms of an overall esthetic impression. You are surrounded by "greens and browns", and slightly worn out "leather" upholsteries which remind of an ancient "glory" of the hotel, but are sligtly outdated and shabby. Nevertheless the hotel is worth recomendation for its wonderful location, peaceful atmosphere, overall standard of a 2 star hotel and price which is not high.
