The room was small and dirty with bedbugs.

  2. Martje From England On November 30, -0001

This place has character! The staff are also very nice, and everything is cleaned thoroughly, but it doesn't help if the guests then leave piles of hair in the shower or pee all over the toilet! The rooms really, REALLY need fans. We had to sleep with the door to the corridor open to create a draft. The mugginess was a nightmare.

  3. Jean From France On November 30, -0001

ideal for its location, very friendly staff and really cheap for Venice. It is yet difficult to keep the place clean all day... and also to stand the heat in high summer without even a fan in the rooms.

  4. Heine From South Africa On November 30, -0001

Great Place to stay at a good price for Venice.

  5. Denis From Russia On November 30, -0001

close to train station and the staff is very kind ;)

  6. Alexandre From USA On November 30, -0001

Everything was excellent; great value, especially for a single room. Close to train station, helpful employees at front desk, clean bathrooms. No A/C, so a bit hot at night.

  7. Jean From France On November 30, -0001

Altogether I was very satisfied with Domus Civica and would most probably come back next time because it is so far the best price/services I found in Venice. Next time I'll bring yet a product against mosquitos...

  8. Naveena From Nepal On November 30, -0001

Overall good experience. Room were ok, but weren't in the level of the price. Very friendly staff.

  9. Alicja From Poland On November 30, -0001

Very close from the train station and vaporette. Nice and clean. Symphatic and helpful staff. Good also for those who return to their rooms long after midnight.

  10. Yves From Switzerland On November 30, -0001

Cheap and simple -> What I was looking for.

  11. shuang From China On November 30, -0001

Its a little hard to find it, so if can put some signs along the ally would be better. Beside, why I was asked to pay for 25+2 euros, but the girl who stayed in the same room with me, only paid for 22+2euros? I asked her, she said she didnt book it online just directly go to ur hotel. But I booked it. So it means if u book it then its more expensive? Way non reasonable!

  12. Alex From England On November 30, -0001

Very nice hostel, staff were friendly and helpful with all questions we had to ask. Room was very basic, but had all the essentials and clean sheets were provided. Bathroom was also clean and there was a luggage room with vending machines incase people were hungry

  13. Adam From England On November 30, -0001

Very basic accommodation but good location and clean. Staff were mostly very helpful.

  14. Reinier From Netherlands On November 30, -0001

Good hostel with nice (but ramshackle) small rooms. Curfew is a pity though

  15. Camilla From Sweden On November 30, -0001

Had a very good stay at Domus! Friendly and helpful staff, good location and nice rooms. Not being able to check out before 07:00 is a minus though. We managed to have the guy working that morning let us out at 06:40 because we had a train to catch at 06:55 (Thank you btw!. But if you want to check out earlier then that it sounded like it was close to impossible to arrange..?

  16. xiaonan From China On November 30, -0001

I will never go to this hostel again!!! as they charged me extra fee regardless of my deposit paid onlline, and they just put off the date again and again claiming they will give the refund, which they have not after 20 days since I report this issue. Compared the few seconds they take to charge me the fee, the time I give them to transfer the refund is more than enough.Never book this hostel!!

  17. KINGA From Poland On November 30, -0001

Clean hostel in a great location. Furniture and equipment very old, no possibility to cook (only microvawe oven, there were no sink in kitchen). One of disadvantages: very early closing hours, wifi - additional payed. Very nice people from reception.

  18. Noelle From USA On November 30, -0001

Amazing Location! Staff was soooo friendly and helpful. This was our first time staying in a hostel so we weren't really used to no fans or a/c. Got some bug bites from windows being open and it was a little hard to sleep with the noise of people outside. Also... showers were small and it was hard not to get the floors soaking wet. Other than these things, great first experience in a hostel.

  19. David Alejandro From Italy On November 30, -0001

This is a very good place, much more clean than what expect for hostels, maybe because of a few experiences in the past, it is close to the ferrovia, you can enjoy of Venice staying here and transport by bout in which you will reach almost every important place of Venice but also by walking and enjoying to get lost in the streets, which you will because maps sucks, maybe with a gps, or a tom tom as are called in Milan, but maps… no way, is you have time enjoy getting lost, at afternoons when there is almost not scheshuled staff to visit, the only bad thing of the hotel is that they close too early, at 0:30, it they could extend that for a few hours it would be great to enjoy Venice at night, which trip in bout you most do, I just could make ¾ of it didn’t arrived to plaza san marco at night, but I live at Milan, so I will do it in the near future.
