Excellent hostel for holidays. Quiet, very well located. Staff is very pleasant and helpful.
Great position, great price and great Gianni :). Best value for your money in rome!
I stayed in this hotel only 1 night. The staffs were nice even though I did not interact with them. The bathrooms were not so clean. There was a leakage so all the water came out during/after shower. The advantage is that you can use the kitchen for cooking. If you are looking for a budget hostel for short duration, then this could be an option.
The hostel was easy to locate and close to a metro, but besides that I would not recommend it. The room was very strange and dingy and the bathroom smelled very strongly of mildew. I am a very heavy sleeper, but the noise from the street and from people in talking in the common areas made it extremely difficult to sleep.
Really good value for money, if you are not outrageously picky on details, quite a comfortable place to stay. Staff is helpful and great location. Though FREE wifi is a little patchy sometimes in some places.
I stayed in three different hostels while in Rome, and this was my favorite! I only left because it was booked full. They have a breakfast buffet, free pasta nights, and a fun atmosphere.
Perfect holiday with Ciak Hostel
If you're searching for a place to sleep and wash while visiting Rome, it's perfect. I don't think you'll find something more convenient for this money. And it is also close to Colosseum, a 10 minute walk.
Very noisy, because its next to a main road. Beds make noises, when you move inside, breakfast ist very poor.. all over ist o.k. but not more..
its a good place to stay and its very near to the metro station :)
I enjoyed a lot. Very nice place to stay at Rome
The memories from Ciak will always stay with me :)
my girlfriend an me spended a 5 day-trip to rome in November 2013. ciak-hostel is a friendly, clean and nice place. there is breakfast in the morning and use of the kitchen at every time possible. it ist good to know, that the hostel-rooms are split up on two buildings, with a walking distance of 2 minutes between them. we have been placed in the second building (secret garden) in a double bed with private bathroom. The room has been in the basement, was totally clean and had a nice private terrace but it has been moldy with an intense stuffy smell in the air! but without any problems the very professional staff organized an alternative room in a different hostel, because they have been booked out at this moment. thank you ciak-hostel staff!!
It's a nice and clean place, the food is OK for a hostel, position is very good. The balance between what you pay and what you get is great. I can't imagine you can find something better for this money. I personally had some problems with the air. The window didn't open quite right, so it was difficult for the fresh air to get in. All in all, it's a great place.
I loved thıs hostel.
Very good place relative to interesting places. Good area for shopping cheap stuff and big market (veg. fruit etc) at Piazza Victoria, supermarket 100 m. Very good beds, but at sleeptime comes noise because of traffic: closed windows help a lot and it is than relatively silent compared to the noise of Rome you heared during all day. Further, exept for very friendly, kind and easy going staff, small scale type reception, breakfast place, gather place around internet etc. could be bigger, it's a pity, but everybody respecting this aspect, it's not a big deal compared to the time you are in the hostel, easy to overcome: you feel at home in this "tiny, I mean lovely" place!(public room could be a bit better however).
One from the best hostels I have ever stayed in, white linen was perfecly ironed, every day the beds were tidy up by the housekeeper.
Best ice cream store nearby!
perfect location - next to subway and night bus stop, 15 min walk to Colloseo, 3 min walk to "G. Fassi Il palazzo del freddo" - best ice cream in Rome:) clean rooms and bathroom; helpful staff. Definitely worth staying!
Good price and location. Exactly 20 Min walking from Central Station. Nice staffs even in the late night I came. I spent 5 nights there. One thing negtive is that my room is close to the street. So very noisy in the night. Better to prepare ear blocks.
