Ostello Monaco is located about ten minutes walk from the station out of town and about fifteen minutes walk from the main sights. Our room was one of four on one floor of the hostel. Each floor worked on a shared basis and contained four rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area and access to a gravellled garden area - rather smart for a hostel! The rooms were beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean - Ikea esque in furnishings! Efficient airconditioning and shutters to guard against the noise from the busy main road were both real luxuries. Both bathrooms too were spotlessly clean. The kitchen provided two fridges, a cooker and all the equipment necessary for catering for yourself - a pleasant change from pizza! There's a small but well stocked supermarket just beside the station which was useful for picking up food for cooking. There was a laundry and internet facility in the basement which was useful too. The reception desk was staffed 24 hours should you have needed any assistance and good for late night arrivals. Largely young population of guests some of whom were travelling alone - the shared floor space facilitated getting to know other travellers.

It is a very friendly und cleaness hostel. There is one appartement per floor an so there is a personaly character. The rooms has hotel character with tv and desktop. There are no bunk beds but normal beds like in a hotel. Per apartement is a kitchen and two bathrooms. But if all the rooms are full, two bathrooms are few.

This was an excellent hostel. My husband and I stayed in a double room for 5 days. The facilities are very new, clean, and bright. Two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a common area were shared among 4 bedrooms on our floor. It was like staying in an apartment! All of us staying on that floor agreed that this hostel was a true bargain, and will probably start booking up fast!

Brand new hostel, kind staff, kitchen where meeting people is easy, free internet, good position, 25 euros per night. Affordable investment for your holiday.

A very clean place, 5min walk from the main train station (S.M.N.). English speaking stuff, friendly. Adjustable air condition in the room. Elevator. 4 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen and a big sofa per floor.
