This is not a party place but that is not what we were looking for. It is a great location which we discovered after having been in Florence the week before. Easy to get to. Easywalking distance to most everything and if needed excellent for public transportation. Staff was very accomodating and knowledgable. Spoke Clear English for us. Nice quaint Italian room. On the small side but we had a 3 person room w/private bath. Wheelchair accessible if needed. Wish we had stayed here the week before.
i had a very very pleasant stay in here! location wise it is very near the train station (3-4 min walk), and very close to the duomo. my room is small however you pay for the price (very cheap!), it is very quiet at night so you can sleep well. The one in reception Nadia is very helpful and accommodating and very caring - will prepare wonderful capuccino for u! Overall- yes i will recommend you to stay here , good value for money!!! If you want to stay at single room withoutt bathroom, it is also worth it bec you're the only one using the toilet! very clean. again thank u!
The personal in charge for the hotel had an excellent atention, they were very kind and very well sense of humor
I like to stay in hotels which have local flavor. Too often, the huge luxury hotels feel like I never left my own country. Hotel Berna is perfection! Small, yes, but the rooms are quite nice and ours was perfectly clean. The location, within a stones throw of the train station in central Florence, and very near bus stops, scooter rentals, and excellent shopping and dining, is ideal. And the staff - where to begin? Francesca is an absolute angel, going above and beyond to provide amazingly good service. She made us feel as if we had a friend in Florence. Pauolo was very kind and helpful as well. Truly, it felt more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. I highly recommend hotel Berna!
Ecellent position (in the center) but difficult for parking. The shared WC/shower is always wet and dirty. Electricity is a big problem for non-Italian equipment! The main staff (a lady) is friendly; but another one is the worst that I have met!
That's a good budget hotel.
Very practical position.
