The campsite with a difference, no curfew, no cramped rooms, nightly entertainment and the most sensational views.

Our accommodation is unique to youth hostels in that we use comfortable two or three person house tents instead of dorms, and these include real beds with bed sheets, blankets, pillows and reading lights. Due to local bylaws protecting the surrounding olive groves we cannot provide hardtop accommodation.

The house tents you can rent privately or shared and are lockable. Towels are available for hire from reception.

We only offer housetents at Camping Michelangelo. If you wish cabins you can check out our other campsites throughout Italy.

Nice place to sleep! Good situation, good ambiance... Some noise during the night sometimes, but it is a camping, so it is normal...

  2. Ida From Denmark On November 30, -0001

I stayed in a dormitory-tent with two other people, witch was fine. gets impossibly hot when the sum comes up, but that is to be expected from a tent. you should know there is a disco right text to the camping site and they play music EVERY night until 4! bring earplugs.

  3. yongyeon From South Korea On November 30, -0001

No internet. no plug to recharge. worst location. To go there you have to climb mountain if you dont have car

  4. EVA From Spain On November 30, -0001

Worst camping in Italy. Quality-price=Expensive. It's 20 min walking to the city and the bus pass each 20 min. There is NO a swimmingpool. NO internet. Very noise, there is a disco close and it's impossible to sleep. You rent a bungalow and when you arrive it's a tend (no plugs). WC and shower old and dirty. Only a bar (no bars and restaurants).

  5. Holly From England On November 30, -0001

It was okay. Stayed for one night only which was in a fab area as in the evening just up the hill was a beautiful lookout spot showing all of Florence - probably the only benefit of this campsite. Two large holes in our tent which meant lots of bugs and we didn't feel completely secure leaving our tent, even with the front door lock. Large lights positioned directly outside tent which meant it never got dark - what a stupid idea! THE STAFF at the bar were ridiculously rude. for some reason we weren't allowed to eat at the restaurant like other people but had to have takeaway. 7.50 for a pizza reasonable price, however 7 euros for a ridiculousy small microwaved 'lasagne'.DO NOT EAT HERE EVER too expense for students

  6. rémi From France On November 30, -0001

Camping well positionned, too serious, (bar closing at midnight, cannot make noise after this time...) close to some clubs

  7. Radek From Czech Republic On November 30, -0001

No chairs and tables in tents. No bungalow offer.

  8. Britt From Netherlands On November 30, -0001

Really nice camping! Good tents, nice vibe, amazing view! Loved it!

  9. Olga From Czech Republic On November 30, -0001

House tent- blankets were dirty, no heating so nights were cold, on Piazzale Michelangelo was concert or disco so noisy.

  10. kamil From Poland On November 30, -0001

    it's hard to find...

  11. Brenda From Argentina On November 30, -0001

I love the location, maybe a little hard to walk back to the hostel. The tent was good, clean and close to the common area and bathrooms. I spent just two nights but I recommend this place!

  12. Kate From Australia On November 30, -0001

My partner and I stayed in a tent. Pathetic as it did not lock. We tried to explain this to the staff on numerous occasions however nothing was done. The staff in the bar/restaurant/shop were nothing but rude. Would never stay here again.

  13. Stefania From Greece On November 30, -0001

Our tent was quite far away from the bathrooms. Also, it was really hot and airless in there. There are not many trees, partial shade. Our tent was almost under the sun. The staff and facilities were ok. Very good position.

  14. Michal From Czech Republic On November 30, -0001

The position of the camp is good - it's 15 minutes to the center of Florence and the view from Michelangelo sqare is amazing. Tents are simple but clean...

  15. song From South Korea On November 30, -0001

Very nice position. I has good enjoy time there.

  16. Robert From USA On November 30, -0001

If you are camping with the intention of getting some sleep before 3:00 am, don't stay here. Loud "club" parties nearby and in the campground. This place is perfect for young adults looking to party.

  17. Maria From Hungary On November 30, -0001

The location of the camping is very good, but there aren't bungalows there. Be very carefull, you can sleep only in tents.

  18. LABO From Romania On November 30, -0001

the staff want to take a pay for a night when i renonced for the reservation

  19. Tomas From Sweden On November 30, -0001

This place is easily the place i ever stayed at for the price you pay you get a tent to share with up to 3 other people the location if a bit of from central town is still fantastic overlooking Florence. The bar and restaurant is as god as i gets. A great to meet like minded friendly people taking a beer ore a glass of wine overlooking the beautiful city of Florence.

  20. Tegan From Canada On November 30, -0001

We loved this place! The view was amazing and everything you need to see in Florence is in walkable distance and if you don't feel like walking the bus is always right outside the campground.
