Casachianti is located in the heart of Tuscany exactly halfway between Florence (35 Km far) and Siena (40 Km far) and at only one hour's drive from Pisa and the sea. It is only 7 km away from the medieval town of Certaldo, the birthplace of the famous writer Boccaccio and 15 km away from San Gimignano, famous for its towers and its magnificent historical centre.

Casachianti is the ideal starting point for a cultural and artistic tour around Tuscany and the crossing point of very interesting natural itineraries and routes that are part of the excursion programme
'Dolce campagna, antiche mura'.

The centre of Firenze is easily reachable by train, the train station being in Certaldo with several trains leaving to the city almost at every hour.

The house dates back to the 18th century and used to be part of a bigger estate surronded by vineyards and olive trees.
It was completely restored in 1990 maintaining its original character and architecture.
The rooms are on the first floor. They have floors in Tuscan cotto and ceilings have open beams and entresols in cotto in the tuscan country fashion.
Each room has its private bathroom with shower and there is also a shared kitchen available for all guests.

The ground floor is taken up by a small restaurant where you may have the opportunity to taste the most typical dishes of the tuscan cooking tradition, such as the 'fiorentina steak' and the 'ribollita' in a very friendly and familiar atmosphere.
In summer dinner is served on a terrace ('aia') that has a superbe and magnificent view over the tuscan 'rolling hills' and from where you may admire unique and amazing sunsets.

Breakfast is upon request and costs 5,50 Euros per person.

Cleanings and changing of the towels to be provided every three days.

    A lovely place, amazing view, very quiet and pastoral. Christina Thank you for the warm welcome. It was just magical and very special. The hotel is clean and stylish. Has a shared kitchen with all you need. The only drawback is that it was a bit far from a city and because of the renovations on the road at Certaldo we got lost at night on the way back to the hotel. Definitely worth the price.
