Although Palmerstown Lodge is relevanlty clean, it really good do with being updated. The decor and accessories are dull, drab and depressing.Door handles in bedroom, kept coming off on my hand. The rooms had a musty damp smell, which was not very pleaseant. The breakfast was of very poor qaulity and very sparse, in fact we could not finish it as it was not very nice. I like a glass of pure orange with my breakfast, was very disappointed to see there was only dilute orange availble. The only positive thing i could say about the Palmerstown Lodge is that it is in a great location for accessing public transport to City Centre, Aiport and Liffey Vslley Shopping Center. Overall was a very disappointing stay, would not rush back or recommend to friends.

The place itself was neat and clean and basic. The staff are extremely helpful and obliging. The location is very handy and straight on the direct bus route to town. The owner is pleasant and chatty and his establishment provides a tasty breakfast. It was unfortunate that the doors have to be slammed shut which means being woken up at all hours by the other guests. I also found the rooms quite chilly and had to ask for an extra blanket. My stay was pleasant enough although I'm not sure I would stay there again as it was too noisy, the rooms were outdated, the hairdryer did not work and the rooms smelled of stale cigarette smoke. :/

The staff was super nice, and always very welcoming. The Irish breakfast was delicious. It was two villages away from the city center, but there was literally a bus stop right outside the lodge and my friends and I just bought a three day bus pass. Overall it wasn't amazing, but it was pleasant place to stay if you plan on exploring Dublin, and not staying in your room 24/7!
