    Friendly!

  2. Christina From Sweden On November 30, -0001

I am not the right person to give my opinion of Generator Hostel, because I am 61 years old. I stayed at the hostel with two of my daughters. 22 and 18 years old. I think that the staff was very nice and helpful. And the security was also very good as you controlled everyone that would enter the hostel. The hostel suits young people much more than persons in my age. For me the high-level music was a bit troublesome the first night but then I got used to it and slept still. But something I didn´t like was the coulors of the walls. But of course it is not so important. Yours cincerely Christina Tholerus.

Great location. Very clean. I'll be back as soon as possible.

  4. Romain From France On November 30, -0001

The dorms were clean and so was the hostel. Toilets should sometimes be cleaned more often though.. Very nice atmosphere. Very well located. Highly recommended!

  5. Renate From Germany On November 30, -0001

The hostel is well organized and has a good location with many internal events. I would have enjoyed my stay even more with a lower heating in the room (we couldn't lower it ourselves) and with a toilet on our own (didn't match the description on this website). Friendly staff and many events!

  6. Agnès From France On November 30, -0001

A very good atmosphere and welcome. The Generator is a very nice place to stay in London and spend nice time. We felt safe and secure there and our students were delighted. they want to go back to London and have accomodation at the Generator!

  7. Jan From Germany On November 30, -0001

centrally located - easy to reach, as well by night. however - the hostel is very big and therefore efficiently organized, thhis means a less cosy atmosphere

  8. Luke From USA On November 30, -0001

The hostel resembles a US college dorm, this isn't really a bad thing but that's exactly what it reminded me of. Very much like a business (very power outlets but a pay-to-charge station). Nice place but I'm not a big clubber (the music is interesting to listen too).

  9. Julio From Brazil On November 30, -0001

Nice place to stay if you don't want comfort. It's fun alright, but don't expect the toilets to be clean and working or the shower to have hot water.

  10. Yeng Che From Netherlands On November 30, -0001

Stayed here for 2 nights, with a group of 9 people. Nice hostel, near by Russel Square, King's Cross and Brunswick shopping centre. Quiet environment. I felt safe as there was security. Clean shower & toilets. The staff was kind. It was just a pity that our 3 rooms were separated over 2 floors. In general, no complaints.

One of the worse experiences in London.... I booked for two weeks and i only stay for 4 days: noisy, expensive and not very clean.

  12. Rachel From Netherlands On November 30, -0001

We would definitely come back again. Reserved a bigger dorm however got a 4-bedded dorm appointed which was a nice surprise. Didn't see any school children running around. It was reasonably quiet actually.

  13. Evita From Latvia On November 30, -0001

We visited the hostel for 2nd time. 1st was 9 years ago. Still same good value for money, cool people. For sure will consider it again, when coming to Lndn.

  14. Michelli From Brazil On November 30, -0001

The localization is good, it seemed clean and the staff was likeable. The bedrooms are really good. Every bed has an individual lamp and a locker for free. The breakfast is good and the social area is really good. The luggage storage is a little small for the number of luggages and its a little difficult to take your baggage in the middle of the day, but it's not a big problem! It's really organized!

  15. Ana From Spain On November 30, -0001

Everything was OK except for the night that the fire alarm went off three times. That was quite a sleepless night.

We are a couple and we were in a private double room. It was two beds, but that's ok. Toilets could be cleaned more often, but no major issues with that. Good breakfast for the price, all you can eat. It's just next to the tube station and there are some stores to buy food/drinks around. Lots of internet cafes around too. We recommend this for couples to stay.
