Info & Description

Hi. My name is Jack.

Welcome to my Hostel in Vienna.

After traveling a lot all around Europe and the rest of the world I decided to start my own hostel. Jacks Hostel is a small hostel right near the center of Vienna directly at the underground station Thaliastrasse. Its just 15 min to get to the most interesting places of the biggest city in Austria by using public transport. I've got a big kitchen, a nice common room and first of all cozy rooms with 2-12 beds. You can get a breakfast in the morning, use free internet and my staff can tell you a lot about nice places to visit in Vienna.

I was 2 night and 3 Days they never cleaned the bathroom. They don't have limit age not often separated rooms for girls or boys. Really bad . And it's 30 min walking to the city center.

Tasty breakfast and free internet was nice for us. People from Reception speak not only german but also perfect english, (!!!) polish and probably something else :) The kitchen was really well-equipped (free tea, coffea, dishwasher etc). A large number of toilets and showers is an advantage of this place. The location is good - about ten/fifteen minutes on foot to the center of the city. In the reception is a machine where you can buy water, cola or snack. We appreciate this place.

The nicest people work here, your in the city center within a few minutes by tram. Only thing is the loud street in front of the hostel but there is rooms to the back as well. I would definately come back!

Perhaps I was not that lucky with my roommates, that could have spoilt a bit the overall impression. When it's about +30, it's hard to be inside the room with the windows closed. In the blue dorm the noise of the road could be quite disturbing, though U can ask for earplugs for free) Location for the metro is perfect, 2 km by bike from the city heart.

  10. James From USA On June 6, 2013

The bathrooms were disgusting, and 4 people in the dorm woke up with bite marks all over them myself included. We think they were spider bites. One girl got bit on her eyelid and could barely see out of that eye. The staff was friendly and the location right next to the metro station was good. It was cheap to book and now I understand why with how dirty it was. Also, I only remember one toilet which is ridiculous.

The cleanliness could be better. Especially the showers are a nightmare. Otherwise it's a full recommend!

This is one of the worst hostels, that I have ever been. The security is terible, they give us a locker, which did not work. so one day that I left really early and arrive really, my things that were there were stolen. I lost my computer and 800 euros, my frinds another computer and 600 euros. What is more, another guy in our room lost his computer, stolen too. I don't wish this to anybody, please think it twice, if you want to stay in this hostel.

  16. monika From Austria On November 29, 2012

Maybe it was only the wrong day or the wrong night or the wrong room or the wrong coresident, who frightened me by waking me up in the middle of the night standing beside my bed talking expressively to me about something i couldn´t understand and all this three times a night! At least I found a few quiet hours on the sofa in the living room. f... Was there before, remember better days...

I've booked a yellow double room. The room is in a box with twin room on the second floor divided from dormitories, reception and common kitchen, but there is separate kitchen in the box, the bathrom is for two rooms as well. The room is small and a bit dirty. The bed linen is veery old.=) But the furniture is quite good and finelly we felt comfortable there. Staff is friendly and helpfull. The city center is approximately 20 munutes by foot. All in all not the best hotel I've ever stayed in, but bearable enough.

  19. KOSUKE From Japan On October 30, 2012
