It was a great experience. The only problem was, nobody opened the door for us. We had to wait 30 minutes outside till someone finally picked up the phone after 15 calls. I recommend to call before and make an appointment!

Obviously, the room was note clean. The floor was not vacuumed and the beds sheets were not changed too, except the pillow. Very disappointed from this point of view.

This hostel is clean and spacious for New York standards. The bathroom was luxurious and there's a shared kitchen. The nearest metro station is at 125th street and you will get there in about 3-5 minutes. A metro will take you downtown in about 15 minutes. The hostel is located in an African-American neighborhood and we had nothing but good experiences with the people living there. Recommended, would go there again.

The location is alright, it's not the most safe area, so if you go back at night you should take a taxi (from Berkley subway station for instance) then it's only $10,- It's also quite convenient, cause you get your own house code, so you can come and go at any time. Plus there's a fridge and you could cook your own meals should you want to. The thing that bothered me mostly is that the owner seems quite shady. He did not want to give us (and another couple) a receipt and he will tell you some sort of story that when you pay by credit card there will be a really high (I believe he said 40/50%)surcharge. Hence, he wants cash... Furthermore, they are not easily accesible. There is no reception and there are no signs on the door, it's just a regular house. So one tip if you do decide to go here, make sure you have his number written down, so you can get in once you're in front of the door.

The position is great for the price. It's about 3 blocks from a green line subway station, and not very far from a red line station. Staff has been welcoming and gave us some good advises when arriving, but we didn't see him for the rest of the weekend. Overall, it was clean but the smell in our room was weird. Glade was overused I think. It's a good place to take a shower and sleep, then go out and enjoy this fabulous city!

Great position, landlord simply wonderful. However, room was filled with boxes and there is not much to do and see in Harlem. Still on Manhattan, easy to get to all the sightseeing points of interest. Great for students as price/value housing!

It was good. My boyfriend didnt like that just because of distance from downtown, but we reached it with subways very easy. So THANK you!

Really nice room and well equiped. We were a bit too uptown (126th) but it was ok. We were excellently welcomed and it was comfortable.

This accomodation offered a wonderful and modern bathroom and a shared kitchen which is perfect if you stay for a longer time. It was very clean and we had an easy access tothe subway. It was easy to find your way around in NYC. I recommend this place and it is cheap during the summer month because it is appartment-like and your divide the cost by how many people are going tostay in one room. Very nice. I liked it very much!
