Built in 1904 and with a notable Byzantine tower, Cadogan Hall has been converted into a modern concert hall - London's first major classical venue for over two decades (since the opening of the Barbican Hall in 1982).

Like a cross between similarly recent LSO St Luke's and the long-established Wigmore Hall, it offers comfort and accessibility with seating for 900. Since summer 2005 it has joined the Royal Albert Hall in hosting BBC Henry Wood Proms, in the Monday lunchtime Proms Chamber Music series.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is Cadogan Hall's resident orchestra, with regular concerts also by the English Chamber Orchestra, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2010, and the King's Consort.
