Lovely staff, close to night market, shops and Copacabana beach. Great fans in room and great price, cheap internet on site and cable tv and free breakfast. I initially stayed for 4 nights and was supposed to go somewhere near Ipanema beach for the next 4 days in Rio but that hostel was so bad I returned here for another 3 nights. More for people wanting to relax as its not really a party place. |

This is a nice hostel with friendly staff. We splashed out and stayed in the suite (double room with bathroom, though actually in the corridor, not part of the room). We liked the staff though found standards to be pretty sloppy. E.g. we asked for the sheets to be changed after 2 days (standard daily change in brazil in any type of hotel) and they refused. Not good customer service for a place charging $R150/night! |

Fantastic views from the room, in a clean and safe location. The hostel has a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Lapa, the party place in Rio, is a few minutes down the hill, and a short taxi ride back up! Great location, nice rooms, friendly staff. |
