I will definitely stay in this hostel next time I'm in Prague. The room was very clean and came with free towels and sheets. House cleaning also comes to make the beds each day. The only issue was an ant problem in the bathroom and near the beds on the last day.The staff was very welcoming and gave us written instructions for the public transportation system. The free breakfast was hardy and tasty (meat, bread, coffee, etc.). One can walk to the center of Prague easily, but it takes about twenty to thirty minutes to walk to the castle area. Hotel Otakar is also safe and fairly quiet. |

The worst place I have been to. Stay away from this one! The hostel lies in a dirty, poor erea, with a pub under it. The room, though it was assured to be none smoking, they had not manged to remove the smel. I just cant stand the smell of sigarets. It was constantly noysy outside, cars, tram, workers, trucs osv. all night there was noyse. Even with my earplugs on I couldnt sleep for the noise. I recorded it, because it was so loud outside! The staff vere terrible. In the reseption a wohman was grumpy, because I wasnt on time. I appologised and tried to explain, but she wouldnt listen, instead she complained over and over. I had booked room for five nights. She demanded that I had to pay all in advanse! I refused, and sayed I had to try out the room one night first. I managed to convinse her. The day after, I had barely slept at all, and wanted to leave. The boss was there this time and demanded that I payed the amount for my reservation at once! I refused, because I argued about the noice, and showed him the recording! He insisted still, but I left only paying for one night. It was a awful place, I dont recomand. And DONT pay in aswanse, the you have nothing to say. |

very cheap hostel that is very well situated. In 15 Minutes walking distance you reach the heart of Prague's party centre, Dlouha street. The staff was very friendly and even helped us with finding the best hitch-hiking spot to Brno/Vienna. The facilities are not the cleanest, but still absolutetely acceptable. There are lockers for the valuable stuff in the dorms. The dorms are comfortable and the double rooms even very nice! Thanks! We enjoyed it!! |

Large groups, echoing halls and no staff trying to keep people quiet meant we got no sleep on the first night. Wireless is only on bottom floor which is a shame. Good location but only for party people |

The location is completely fine and accessible to the city center. The rooms are a bit dirty and I couldn't feel safe inside although nothing bad happened to me. The wifi was on and off. The toilets and bathroom were shared and really dirty without liquid soap and tissue. It's ok for one night budget stay but not more. |

Upon booking in for a second night my husband handed Eric 1000 czech koruna and was charged 190 but only handed back 310 czech koruna, we though this was deposit but upon arriving on the Friday 17th Sept found Eric to be on holidays, no refund of the 500 czech koruna and I had to pay another 190 czech koruna for the night. So no we could have afforded a hotel at these rates. |

We are greatful that despite of we came late (at 24), in the restaurant we could get keys of our room. This hostel is just fine for larger groups, if you want get fun. But it takes 20 min to the center walking. And there is at night a little bit noisy because of restaurant and because of train station. |

This hostel is very mysterious. I don't know if it exists in reality. When we arrived there, we couldn't enter the apartment, it was closed. And there was no sign on the door. We phoned them and they have send us to another hostel, which was far away from the first one and they also charged the same money. |

Although I gave this place a high rating I must say, we didn't last one night. We had three computers stolen out of this apartment while we were out to dinner one night. The door was locked when we left. It was an extremely eerie thing. The staff was helpful with us...but our stuff was still stolen which caused us to unfortunately move to a hotel. |
