The Hostel Huauki has been renovated from a restaurant in January 2006 by an Ecuadorian who has much experience in travel and tourism. Huauki means brother in Quichua, the indigenous language of Ecuador. We have tried to conserve the interior antique furniture of the house so our guests will get a feel for Ecuador. We would like to make our guests feel like they are in a home away from home. The house was built in 1940 and is designated as a historical building by the municipality of Quito City. The hostel is conveniently located in the center of the new town, La Mariscal. Nearby you can find everything such as very good restaurants, museums, bars, and the airport, but the hostel is located in a quiet area so that guests can stay at our hostel calmly and safely. Secure and open 24 hours!!

Fantastic location for the New City bars and resteraunts, very friendly and helpful staff, amazing (& very good value) food in resteraunt. Nice rooms with good character and a nice tv area. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Quito.
