Nice hostel, very good position and very kind reception. If we will come to Istanbul again we certainly will try to come back here.

We were very pleased with our room, it was very clean. The staff was great, Rashid and the others were very helpfull. We came after the midnight and they have waited for us. Also they have arranged the airport shuttle for us and really everything was perfect. I almost forgot to mention that the breakfast was good, it was buffet breakfast and we could eat as much as we wanted.

Great position near all the biggest monuments and mosques istanbul. Very good quality for the price. Very helpful staff, especially Apo, Sado and Ramazan. Great guys!
The staff was really kind and every time very hepfull. The location of the house was just perfect. The price was according to the service. it was okay, but unfortunatelly was very cold in the rooms.Breakfast was also good and tasty but if you get every day the same to eat, is somehow becoming "not tasty". Generelly we are very happy,that we chose exactly this house.

Nice, clean and cozy place a few minutes by foot to some of the main tourist attractions: Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia, Topkapi Palace. Surrounding area is very tourist-oriented and friendly. The staff is very nice, breakfasts are good. Wireless internet available. Rooms are non-smoking and you can smoke on the terrace (actually it's more of an attic than terrace:)). No problems with hygiene or general cleanness of the place. No problems with noise and due to the price tag, no problems with teen tourism annoyances. I gave everything 100 points and 'fun factor' 60 only because Sultanahmed (the district where the place is located) is very tourist-oriented, to get to know the real Istanbul you should choose another district. I chose half-stay here to see the attractions and then moved out to a place on the other side of Golden Horn. I've slept in an other Istanbul hostel and I must say this place is fully worth it's price tag. Recommended.
Absolutely recommended! The location is perfect, the rooms are a bit small but you are not going to Istanbul to stay in your room.... Rashid, Emre and the lady (sorry... I don't remember the name) are really helpful, easygoing and funny. It was a great staying!
Wouldn’t recommend this. Blocked drain in room's WC/shower, air freshener covering up stuffy air, broken lamp&TV,etc.. Fortunately AC/heater compensating cold air creeping from window. Breakfast was OK.
This hostel is just so great. the staff is very friendly and helpful. :) The location of this hostel is very good, near all the places you wanna go.even though the blue mosque is near by you cant hear it. We will come again to this hostel.
The owner of the hostel is very helpful, kind and helps you with anything you need. Very cosy place where you feel welcome!
Nice - but nothing special. Friedlly staff. 45€ for double bed it's too much in my opinion, but in Istambul is unfortunately normal

It's not usual for me this kind of ratings but in this case i've to define my opinion about Anzav Wooden Hous simply entusiastic! Mrs. Rachid and the Satff was really extraordinary in kindness
I am very happy to stay in anzac wooden house. People were very friendly. I think this guest house is number one in istanbul. When I back to istanbul again, for sure I will stay there again.. Halit, we will miss you so much.

Stongly reccomended to all travellers who prefer a friendly and sincere atmosphere to a posh 5 star hotel.It was certainly a very important part of the success of our holiday!The position is perfect for visiting and all the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming to guests.You can also learn playing backgammon with Rasit :)
