Very good location. Small an cheap. Staff doesnt speak English. No option for paying by card. Very small bathrooms.

  2. Merike From Estonia On November 30, -0001

Well located to main attractions, shopping and eateries, very clean. A bit inconvenient if you don't know Spanish at all. Worth of recommending for sure

  3. ingrid From Spain On November 30, -0001

Very tidy and very quiet since the window didnt face Fuencarral street which is very busy; but quite late at the evening next room guest started snooring plus 9 o´clock hostal owner started to shout....Altogether is way to better than sharing room at a hostel,is 24 hours open, and it´s just 22 euros!

  4. Mihoko From Japan On November 30, -0001

Everything was organized by a nice elderly couple. Although the place was a bit old and the rooms weren't exactly spacious, I could tell they were trying to keep the rooms clean and comfortable. Very close to the center of Madrid.

It was an absolutely amazing experience. I rented a double room with my boyfriend who was visiting for the week. It was so clean and the staff couldn't be nicer. There are no lockouts (so you can enjoy the Madrid nightlife without worrying!) I felt like I was at home. Also, it's right on Fuencarral, which is a great shopping area. 10 minute walk from Sol.

The Hostal Murallas is in a very good location for the city centre, but it's position on the Cl. de Fuencarral means that there is no traffic noise. The rooms are sparse but clean. Staff very friendly but speak only Spanish. A good all round place to stay.

  7. Miguel From Spain On November 30, -0001

First impression is that of a very old building, but the rooms are very well equipped and clean. The location is perfect if you wish to be in the very centre of the city yet away from the noise. Surrounded by shops to never get bored. The staff is super. Although they don't accept credit card.

This Hostel is absolutely great (price-quality), the location is amazing (1 minute from the metro station) and right in the middle of the fun and shopping area!it´s very clean and quite, the owners are very old and sweet. A little hint, if you want a typical spanish meal then go to "Antonio Sanchez - Mesón de Parades 13, Madrid", you won´t find any toursits there just locals! have fun in Madrid (and go to Toledo, it´s amazing, just 30 minutes away by train)

Visited diff places in Spain and Hostal Murallas was the best choice I made. Great location. Place was very clean. Offers good value. Owners of the place were very helpful. Also place has a lift now. Will check them out again if I go back to visit Madrid.

The next time I go to Madrid I'll spent my nights in Murallas again :) The rooms are small (which is no problem for me ;) ) but very very CLEAN! I'm absolutely satisfied. It's also located in the center of madrid..Great for tourists! I'd say : Let's go there again :)

Only one of them can speak English but she's only available for a short period in the hostel -which is a little difficult to communicate. Location is good; closely located to metro and shopping area. Room is clean ;)

very good situated - 30 meteres from grand via street (main street of the city), in chueca - gay district (gay clubs, pubs, discos, squeares), chosing the room ask about the room not at the same side as a street (you won't sleep becouse of the noise). if you were lucky, you will speak english with maria - she own the hostel - but only she speaks english.can't pay by card

  15. Boglarka From Hungary On November 30, -0001

This hostel is very good value for money, especially, because of its central location. From here, you are able to discover the city by foot and feel its atmosphere. It's on the 4th floor of the building, but fortunately, there is a lift. The owners, who run the hostel, are very friendly and keep the rooms really tidy with the everyday cleaning. Expect cash payment and some noise from the street at night. Boglárka from Budapest, HUNGARY

Overall great location. Owners were wonderful and very hospitable. Only downfall, the walls are really thin. Can hear everything. Def. will be back though!

Easy to find and so close to the Gran Via metro. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My single room was wonderful and had everything you could need. I would definitely stay there again. It was a bit noisy at times since it echos when people are talking, but not bad.
