Hostal Castilla II – Puerta del Sol has 26 private single rooms, twin/double and triple with private bathroom. The rooms have TV, heating, air conditioning and safety box. In the hostel Castilla II – Puerta del Sol there's a reception open 24 hours a day an an automatic machine of snack and bavarages. Also is available for guests a computer con free internet connection and the Wi-Fi connection is free in all the hostel.
Sheets and towels are provided for free.     Great location. Thin walls = noisy. Quite cold in the room during winter. But stuff was OK and they gave us second blanket after our request.

    After haveing given up on Gislay Hostel it was like comming to heaven moving in to Castilla. It was clean, nice staff, tv with several channels and WIFI. The hotel was right in the middel of the center of Madrid. We can highly recommend it to others.

    the hostel is at the very centre of the city and it is very comfortable and clean. metro station is near and if you turn the corner you are in plaza del sol, full of people at night and near shops and restaurants. maybe the air condition in the room was too much high, but all was very nice.

    Hy people! If you wan´t to stay in Madrid at a very good place in the center, in a clean room, not so noisy ( noise only from the street ) then Csatilla II ist the best choice. Zoli from Budapest

    We were really satisfied with this hostel.The only remark that when we have booked it was written that Castilla II and we have got room in the Castilla III. It would be better to give real and through information because the III was not redecorated. Regards A&J.

    The hostal is right off Puerta del Sol which is great. It is clean and nicely decorated. The only problem was lack of fresh air or air condtioning in the room so it may get very hot in the summer.

    This hostel was perfect. I stayed in a double room with my girl friend and it was just what we needed. The location is amazing, independence was great. Wireless internet a plus. ++++ I'll be back!

    Exceptional location, some staff very friendly and helpful, but some best avoided! Room cleaned and fresh towels supplied every day, but soap given only on first day. Several holes in sheets! Can be quite noisy, thin walls and doors. Chep but you get what you paid for!

    Perfect location, very clean, but a little sober for the price. We had our window at the inside of the building, so our room was quite noisy and looked into with the windows open. But you practically won't find anything more central. I would recommend this place to anyone who's more interested in Madrid than in staying at the hostal.

    The hostal was situated in a great location even closer to Puerta del Sol than I expected. The Hostal itself was very clean, but our view was a very dirty street. Garbage people came by to clean up the last day we were there. The great location let itself to be in a very noisy area. You can choose to be in a quieter area, but you won't have so many attractions within walking distance. I would recommend this place to my friends, who don't mind the noise, and to those who want a metro station within walking distance. Lidia

    A really clean place at a perfect location. Located in a quiet street just a few steps from Puerta del Sol, Castilla II (and III where we actually stayed at and which is across the street on the 4th floor) is value for money! Friendly staff and basic but well kept rooms.

    Good location!! Just few meters from metro station and plaza major. The room was new and clear. The right place to visit Madrid!

    Perfect location! Nice entrance in big townhouse, room simple but everything you need was there and very clean. Small window but without view. Staff was somewhere in the house, but when you need them they appear and try to answer. Good place! But: it would be even nicer with a view from the room.

    very clean and safe hostel. EXcellent position for seeing all the sights walking distance to everyything. Staff were very helpfull and efficeint. Great value for money. Some street noise but no more than you would expect in any city centre

    The hostel could not have been in a better position. The rooms were clean and my 7 fellow travellers were surprised at the quality and cleanliness for the price. Madrid is a wonderful city, this is an ideal base for touring with the Metro just over the road and most attractions within easy walking distance. Highly recommended.
