We are in the super-centre of Barcelona, in the corner of Ramblas street with Catalunya square, the main square of Barcelona. This hostel was known as 'Pension Canaletas', a very typical hostel with more than 100 years of history. Since we have bought it in 2005, we are renwing it month by month, so we have given it a modern personality as at the same time it keeps some details of its classic style.

So the beds, lins, towels... are new. The electricity system has been completely changed. Month by month this hostel presents some new things.

BARCELONA CITY RAMBLAS offers you a simple room, absolutely clean, with new and comfortable beds, heating... The towels are included and the bathroom is shared and cleaned minimal twice times per day. In a fifth floor without lift, you will have all Barcelona on your feet. Go out from the hostel and fell the live of the most-known Barcelona: Ramblas street, Gothic Quarter, Eixample and Passeig de Gràcia, Gaudi´s buildings just three streets away, the best restaurants and shopping streets just one step from you!.

Taxes included in prices. There are many payment parkings near the hostel where you can leave your car.

Please note: From the 1st of November 2012 a tourist tax of 0.72 per person and night will apply for the first 7 nights. This tax is not included in the price and should be paid in cash on arrival.

    Great location!! Clean! Disadvantage:the hostel has a lot of stairs!! Didn't see the staff much, but they said they were reachable 24/7 by phone.

    The position it's fantastic, the cleanliness of the shared wc is very good, not so good for the room; I like that hotel La posizione è fantastica, la pulizia dei bagni in comune ottima, peccato che in stanza puliscano poco il pavimento, cmq mi sono trovato bene

    The position of this hostel is extremely excellent. It is located at the Catalunya square, from where to start a trip by walk, bus or metro is very convenient. The hostel staff are very warm-hearted. When we asked them for storing our luggage there at the morning we checked out, they kindly gave us the key of the hostel door and allow us to use the bathroom and computer before we left at night. The only drawback is the noise from La Rambla because there was still a quite large crowd even at 02:00. However, we got a not-bad sleep after the whole day travel in the city, which was really tired. For the sake of finding the hostel more easily by the tourists, it may be better to make a marked sign at the entrance downstairs.

    This hostel is EXCELLENT! literally on the doorstep of las ramblas, lovely helpful staff- a guy there let us leave our bags in a locked room all day after we had checked out cos our flight wasnt until the evening. the only bad point was we had booked a twin bedded room and got a double bed!free internet access too which is cool. would definately stay again! :-)
