They charged some money of my card and denied me on my arrival saying they couldn't charge...perfect service!!!

Very clean rooms! One of the staff where a bit grumpy! Situated near central Barcelona! Dont forget to visit the Bournareas behind the hostel.

Quite OK to stay, not that much great
We were really satisfied with the hostel, it was very very clean, towels were changes every day, bed was also made everyday, it smells very nice in the whole hostel. The staff was also nice and helpful. The only thing we did not like was, that we have book according to the description "deluxe double bed private with WC", the room and bathroom was very small, but the biggest problem was there was almost no day light in the room, because when you opened the window, you were looking into a panel shaft or chamber. so really minimum daylight in the room. But anyway we spent all days sightseeing and not sitting in the room...So I recommend this hostel and would stay there next time as well. Zuzana from Slovakia. (7.10-12.10.2010)
I was very pleased with my stay at Awa Nuevo Colon, perfect location close to the trainstation and to the heart of the city.

ideal location across from Atocha train station, a short walk to Las Ramblas; must retrieve and return key to front desk when leaving the building, a drag if your room is on a different floor
A great hostel with great staff who's always available. We appreciated that it was clean everywhere, especially the bathroom is very important. The location is great too, close to the central shopping area, the station, the park and the sea. =)
Good positioning for walking in old town.
