Evora House is located right in the heart of Evora city center. You'll be a step away from all the town attractions, monuments, bars and nightlife activity plus local supermarkets where you can buy your own food.

Evora House is a cheap accommodation solution in Evora, we decided to transform a Centre town house into an affordable solution for backpackers and travelers. This is temporary rental houses, its not a youth hostel.
We are working only for the summer. As we started this year, we already received more than 50 people. about 8 people were not happy, all others had a great time.

IMPORTANT:

evora guesthouse is not a youth hostel. WE OFFER 2 HOUSES, simple apartments at your use. This is much better to live inside a house than a international hostel. No one live in the houses so don't expect someone being there just to SWITCH THE WATER HEATER ON. its incredible how people write saying we do not have hot water. we just have to say, hey this is your house so please just switch the water heather on by yourself. its easy fast and not complicated. :o)
REMEMBER there are no youth hostels in Evora, so this is a great opportunity. There are other hotels in town where you might find accommodation also. although this is a great deal.

The guesthouse as simply equipped kitchens at your use, and clean bathroom.

Bed + sheets + kitchen to use + pick up service

Previously, the house was rented to university students so all amenities are at hand and the House / French English speaking staff will receive you with a smile. This is not a full time job for the house owner. So try to understand the pick up service and call /send sms first. He needs to know when you arrive.

This is a great way to get to know Évora and all its historical surroundings. One or two weeks in town is perfect to chill out, enjoy the city shadows while drinking a glass of cold beer and reading a book. Swimming Pool near by, historical megalithic circuits available renting our scooter (classic vespa one day 10 euros 1 person or 15 euros 2 people)

BAD CRITICS FROM COSTUMERS:
-no hot water
just switch the hot heather on...
-no toilet paper
please don't take the toilet paper with you into your backpack as others next will not have, or simply go to the closet and take one to use in the bathroom. again, please don't take it with you, as we sometimes put 2 toilet rolls for 2 people per day. how is this possible?
-no telephone
sorry we though we would have phone, but there's actually no need.
-this is not a youth hostel
yes, you are right, this is not a youth hostel but a temporary room rental. great solution, great price.
-no one was there in the house
no one will be there for you. consider Evora House like your house. please take good care of it. as you arrive you'll be left alone in the world. enjoy life. enjoy peace in evora old city.
-no supermarkets near
what? yo are kidding right? lots of small supermarkets can be found, not huge one like 20minutes from the house, but small old folks supermarkets. if you arrive on Saturday, they will be close also Sunday. so no supermarkets close during weekends.
-the staff was rude to me
was it? were you nice to the staff also?

GOOD CRITICS FROM COSTUMERS:
-house just for me in the middle of town 5 minutes walk from old monuments
yes the house is right on city centre.
-cool room just for me and so cheap. never got a hostel like this.
this is not a hostel. this is a house that's why is a room just for you.
-tasty soups inside the fridge
yes we leave you soups 1.5euros each inside the fridge, just in case you need a snack. we trust people to pay for that leaving the money on top of the fridge.
-we had great time with the house staff. being a couple its great fun as they hung out with us showing us the house.

    It's not a real hostal, it' just houses that are spread all over the city. The adress that appears in the web corresponds to one of those houses but there is no information point or way to contact with the responsibles. The installations were ok but they shouldn't be advertised as "youth hostel" because they are just houses that you can rent. Thanks for your attention

    Nice owners, nice apartment, and right in the middle of the old city. Good place to stay if going to Evora.
