At our arrival we were shocked! We booked the room room with double bed and private bathroom, but this room was not cleaned yet. Alessandro was not at home and his girlfriend was unable to clean it. She called him twice and after waiting about half an our he arrived finally and cleaned the room, but he forgot to clean the floor! It was really dirty! After the description from hostels.com we renounced to take breakfast there. There was a table in his living room where you can eat some cereals. Not really nice! Some evenings there was music played by his girlfriend loudly. But there were of course good things: The room was small but nice. A small double bed and a nice small TV were inside. The bathroom was okay. The way to the Vatican was short. You can reach it in 10 minutes. Alessandro was friendly and helped us a lot to have a nice trip in Rome and showed us a way to the most important buildings there. And we reached everything by foot, only for the way to the central station we used the metro. The location was also very nice, we had very nice breakfasts in the cafes near the hostel, and we bumped in a really typical market, for the Italian citizens, not for tourists. By forgetting the arrival all in all it was a nice trip, but next time I would choose another apartment.

The room was quite nice and clean, we've got the one with the private bathroom. But the kitcehn was messy, with a terrible smell coming out from the fridge and the sink full of dishes from the previous day. The owner's family with a small child lives at the same flat, eats at the same living room, leaves their upper clothes and shoes at the table we had to eat. Yes, you need to prepare breakfast yourself, have your own coffee, and even cups for it (there were no aproppriate cups), you can cook but that's not nice in a messy kitchen. So this is not the real B&B. But that's Italy and you don't know what to expect! The owner Allesandro was nice to reccomend us some places to visit, we've got a map of Rome. The position of a place was a bit too far for us, cause we've been walking only by foot. But that's a quiet place, so good for a good rest. So the price is ok for the value you get cause you come here only to sleep over and leave early in the morning.

I really recommend - good value for money! The room & bathroon were clean and big. I lked that it was a "normal" apartament and not a typical hotel. The location is also good - you can reach all tourist attractions with metro or bus. There is also some basic breakfast for all guests. But I would recommend to skip this breakfast and go to a small italian cafe, where you can buy a coffee and a fresh croissant for few Euro. Nevertheless, if I will visit Rome again - I will definately stay there again.

Alessandro is a very nice person. He left the keys for us at the hotel across the road when we came. Had trouble finding the place at first. We met him the next day to pay him and he told us a few things about Rome; left us breakfast for the next few days and then disappeared. We felt like the place was ours and we used it to our advantage. I was expecting the room to be much tidier as well as the bathroom and toilet to be cleaner. I expect a more personalized level of cleanliness from a B & B and I didn't get this. The room is close to the Vatican and close to the metro and the neighbourhood was good too. This place has so much potential if it was cleaned and tidied on a daily basis and for it to have the feel of a much classier Rome with the use of antique furniture like the photos. Overall it was good......

we stayed in a old fashioned but cean and cosy house and Allessandro made us feel at home. It is indeed located very close to the Vatican and close to the Metro line A.Nice price and good quality.

You will have a room in an old house very close to the Vatican. The breakfast is very poor, most of the times just some cereals and you should make the coffee for yourself.

The owner Alex is nice and friendly,he told us a lot information about rome in the first day and left us peace in the following days!the disadvantages are there is no fan or air condition in the room so it was hot at night, and the breakfast didn't prepare enough either..but in general its a nice B&B

The b&b was great, we really felt at home. It was more like staying in a friend's flat than a b&b, especially as the guestrooms are part of Alessandro and his wife's flat!

Allesandro is a sweatheart and is ready to help with anything! The rooms are a work in progress and are on there way to being realy great. Breakfast could be much improved...Its a nice place to stay, which will only get better! A good place to have a good holiday.

Clean, big room with lovely furniture but small bathroom. Not too far from metro station but not well signposted - it was difficult to find the first time. Alessandro was friendly, but not always available.

This ia a real find! Very close to Vatican City and also to a metro stop, so other sights are easily accessible. Friendly owner who recommended excellent restaurants and nice places to visit.

Nice place, clean and calm.10 minutes walking from Vatican. Friendly owner helping with everything if needed.Small breakfast may be too small for some people. Good place for a few days holidays.

A phantastic host, a great hostel, most friendly people we met in Rome. Just great.

  18. Christopher From England On November 30, -0001

Basic room in apartment about a 5 minute walk, (not 100 steps!), from the vatican. Your host is very helpful, explaining everything you might need to know and being available on his mobile if in difficulty. You do need to remind him what time you are arriving otherwise he may not be there. Breakfast consists of frshly made coffee plus pre-packed 'cakes'; something fresh to eat would have been good.

  19. pascale From Belgium On November 30, -0001

Great place, old appartment ancient furniture with typical parsonnality. You will feel home and also a little alone as your hosts are barely present. So the whole place is for you, and you feel like a real roman. And when they come back they are very nice and helpful, so really a great place. If you like to walk, center s 20 minutes far away, and the trip is beautiful.
