The staff that was present didn't speak English at all, which was a problem for us, non-Italian speakers. We didn't appreciate the sudden unannounced price increase when we wanted to stay one night more than booked in first instance. But if you speak Italian and don't need so much comfort it is a cheap place to stay as long as you book all days in advance via internet.

Please refund my 8 Euro deposit. I followed the directions you sent and found "Sir John House" but they do not receive guests. So I had to get another hotel nearby. I got an email later from another place of the same name but not in the same location but I had already taken the hotel. Not a great experience.

Price was double than advertised and did not include sheets. It included breakfast, but it was just one croisant. Just one person could speak english. It was situated 10km from advertised place. But the beaches around-mainly Amalfi were very nice.
NIGHTMARE. Even that I made the reservation and paid on the Internet the was NO PLACE for me in the hostel. I could not reach the owner on my day of arrive and only because the local people were very polite I could stay in the neighbourhood. The worst mistake I have ever made. Stay away form that place, otherway you will regret.
