About us

At Archi Rossi Hostel you will feel Florence's artistic atmosphere with its original frescoes painted in the reception by local art students. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, ideal for couples, families or small groups who want to stay for short periods in the heart of the historic center of Florence.
The staff is friendly and hospitable and speaks English, French, German and Spanish...how could it be otherwise for a hostel so international!



Accommodation

Hostel Archi Rossi offers private rooms from 1 to 5 beds (ideal for young couples or families) or shared dormitories from 4 to 9 beds
All rooms (except some single, properly marked) are en-suite and customers are provided with linen and keys to access the room, the breakfast room and their own personal safety deposit box (where you can keep valuables). Some rooms have disabled access.

This amazing hostel in Florence offers guests many services: there is a bar and restaurant, internet terminals for free use, free wifi in all bulding, a common room with TV (with English movies), telephones, an amazing roof terrace (smokers friendly), a garden, a laundry room (free soap) and an infirmary.
There is also a kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave available for those who want something to eat in the hostel.

Surroundings

The location of hostel Archi Rossi is strategic for those who simply want to live Florence downtown without taking public transports. Almost all the tourist attractions are within walking distance and the train station of Santa Maria Novella is only 3 minutes away. Upon arrival staff will give you a free map of Florence and some tips and tricks about what to do and see in Florence. Free walking tours (english spoken) are available between 10.00 and 12.00 a.m (ask at the reception for more info).

    What can I say more than PERFECT! I couldn't believe when I got into the hostel. It's amazing!!! The hostel itself it seams a peace of art as it's all Firenze. They have small copies of every famous work of art through the whole hostel from Firenze and all the world, sculptures and paintings, incredible nice. Rooms are big, clean and in my case with wc (I was in a 6 shared room with wc). Breakfast is free and excellent, with lot of "combos" served by hostel's staff. The dinner-room is big and clean, so the garden and the terraces. Anything else? Do the free-city tour they offer, It's also perfect. Location is also perfect, near train-station and the nicest places of Firenze.

    Overall Archi Rossi was fine. The front desk staff was okay-- borderline unfriendly, but this is Florence so it was almost to be expected. The free dinner/ breakfast deal wasn't the best.Italian.food.ever. but it was 'free' and hey, you can't beat that. Stayed in the 4-bed private and it was great. Clean, quiet, good location. The outdoor courtyard was beautiful at night too. Maybe would stay here again if something better didn't come along.

    Most excellent facilities. Close to the train station and the major shopping market. Ease of access for all needs. Breakfast and dinner included in the charge - awesome. So glad to support this hostel because of their humanitarian assistance that is noted by the photos in the restaurant. So grateful for the walking tours which helped get a grasp of the town to maximize the visit. Staff was very helpful and spoke English so no need for concern. Overall, truly enjoyed my stay in this hostel and will go back there again.

    Great place close to everything and good value. Free walking tours each morning and free breakfast! Get a room with a bathroom included, and make sure to lock everything up when you leave. I left some medicine out and found it missing when I came back....

    Best hostel ever, they need one in every city! Very clean in all areas. Staff spoke great English, was very friendly, helpful, and they offered a free walking tour everyday! The position was a five minute walk from train station and was not at all noisy. The hostel was lots of fun and you could interact with other guests if you chose. There was a beautiful garden/courtyard that was very impressive. The lobby had snacks and drinks to purchase. Laundry available. Free internet in the common area and in the dorm room. Just fabulous. I will definitely stay there next time I'm in Florence. Thank you!!!

    The only thing i found interesting was how the showers were right there next to the toilet.. making the entire bathroom floor wet after a shower... other than that SMALL issue i found the stay most agreable!
