We stayed for 4 nights and were quite disappointed, as we heard a lot of good things. The location is great and everything looks good until you try to use it! The rooms are not really cleaned everyday (we see the dust) and the sheets can give a rash. The promised swimming pool and sauna are not open in the summer (didn't say anywhere) and the outside pool is only open until 19h. You are obligated to wear a swimming cap that you can buy for 7€ (also not mentioned anywhere). All common areas close at 22h or 23h which is very early for a hostel. There is no where to sit to have a social interaction with other people. So your room is all you have but if you share you can only go to bed if your roommates are asleep. The staff or doesn't speak English or are rude (or both). It would've been fine if there was just a place to sit, since there are a lot of shared rooms, where you can't really talk in the evening. They are a kinda hotel trying to be a hostel, which makes all things not good. You have to wait a very long time until the lift comes and it is a bit broken. Shower and Aircon (lot of light at night) was good. Breakfast was ok, but a bit expensive and the staff wasnt very nice. There was an opportunity to make it a great place, but they didn't use it. The price was expensive for all the services you couldn't use, that they promised on the website. Very disappointed. Is this meant to be a youth hostel or an elementary school/retirement home?

Very nice place more than I expected.

  3. Analu From Brazil On November 30, -0001

Great price, great dorms, pool was nice - even though the water was cold. The location was also good and everything totally worth the price. The staff was not very friendly but acceptable.

  4. Destiny From Canada On November 30, -0001

It was very expensive although you may get it cheaper on another site. Only the outdoor pool is open in summer; turkish bath and indoor pool closed. The personal locks in the room we had to fix with a pocket knife. The shower is separate from the toilet which is nice. 15 min walk from the train station. Grocery stores nearby. Too expensive for me to stay again but other than that it was a good stay.

This hotel is quite a hike from the city centre. The basic services are fine but the tv in the room had not English language programmes and attempts to rectify this repeatedly failed. The same was true of the air conditioning that only heated.

  6. Hilmar From Germany On November 30, -0001

Friendly staff, clean rooms with light blankets and towels, drinks & snack machine in the foyer and 'free' wlan. Distance from train station seemed more than "900 meters", but still within walking distance.

  7. Hemangajit From India On November 30, -0001

Located in a busy area, close to restaurants and station, awesome ambience inside, helpful staff. Had a wonderful stay!

  8. Philippe From Canada On November 30, -0001

A great place to stay; nice rooms of reasonable size and with a bathroom and shower in each room

  9. Kirsi From Finland On November 30, -0001

  10. Xavier From England On November 30, -0001

One of our best hostels! Such a brilliant location, good vibe throughout, pool open till 11pm, good nightlife and rooms where nice. Recommend to anyone :)

  11. Jessica From USA On November 30, -0001

Great location, clean, staff was helpful but always too busy and couldn't assist some things. Also, breakfast should be free, but it was all you can eat buffet for 6 euros, which isnt too bad.

  12. Jehoszafat From Poland On November 30, -0001

  14. Shushanta From India On November 30, -0001

Hostel is good. Didn't have time to visit the swimming pool or sauna. Restaurant downstairs isn't very good. Sink was clogged

Def is the place that you have to stay in Florence. Really nice even I was staying there in a Mixed dorm. Well organized and cool place to stay.

It seems as though every backpacker in Florence stays at Plus Hostel. With 400 beds, they were full everyday that we were there. If you want to stay here, make sure to book online. They give preference to those booking online, even if you are already staying there, you will need to extend your stay online. There is a nice pool to hang out by and a rooftop terrace. The wifi is good but unfortunately there is no communal cooking and there are signs that say no outside food or beverage is allowed in the dinning hall. In the evenings, they have events such as wet t-shirt competitions. The rooms are large with lockers that fit big backpacks. One major downside is that the AC system is controlled by the front desk. There is only one accessible lift from the lobby that was really slow and broke twice while we were there. The unfortunate part about it being so big is that no one really cares about you... We had to walk four flights of stairs to the front desk three times one night because the AC had shut off in the room and the person at the front desk was irritated with us wanting to keep the AC on all night when it was around 35 degrees outside.

Good place if you want to have fun. Disco every night until about 12.30 which can b noisy if you're trying to get to sleep. Loads of tours available and bike rental etc at reasonable price. Staff really friendly

I have mixed feelings with this hostel. On one hand, it offers great value for the money, providing nicer accomodations than most such as a pool, sauna, fridge in the room, etc, but on the other hand it falls short on the basics (you have to make your own bed, for example; no towels are provided, there is no heating in the room). Staff is friendly but a bit disorganized (I was asked to pay when I checked-out - funny considering that I had already payed in advance at check-in; it wasn't such a big deal and it was promptly solved, but it reveals poor administration practices). Also, as is sadly usual at hostels, wifi doesn't work well at higher floors (I had to go down to the lounge/reception to get a strong signal). Overall, is a nice (and cheap) experience for young "backpacker" types, but if you're looking for a more "romantic" experience, you are better off paying something extra elsewhere for more sophistication.

They really got almost all right. Building is a big ex hotel, so five floors, sw pool, gym, bars etc.Internet. Good food for a normal price.Staff very helpfull. Two minuses: room is ready by 3pm and you have to check out by 10 am so you loose few good hours, and few drunk young people at 4am loudly sharing their life stories on corridor, wether you want to hear them or not. Don't take a room next to a vending machine.
