The hostel looked quite clean and organized. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location made it easy to go around.
Best hostel I have ever been! Such a good environment -thank you Sebastian :D-! You have a huge bathroom, kitchen, towels, books.. a good choice for solo-traveling! We met very nice people there. I will come back there if I repeat Budapest
The hostels are so well maintained and clean. We actually stayed at their flat with a private room and shared a bathroom. This place was immaculate. Bed was beyond comfortable and room was so spacious and beautiful. The entire vibe is like walking into the most relaxing environment. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They helped us book a last minute cave adventure tour and were emailing us to stay updated as soon as they had the confirmation within hours. The only down side is the reception hours. They respond to emails promptly. They gave us so many suggestions for the town from restaurants to bars to sights. The bathroom was consistently cleaned and there was constant hot water and great water pressure. Would highly recommend anyone coming to Budapest to stay here. Absolutely fantastic experience!
It's an amazing hostel, with fantastic ethos and very helpful staff. Alexandra and team were great hosts and helped us plan our entire stay. The city has great party atmosphere right from the evening. So you may save some bucks on hostel reservations and plan your own party hop instead of relying on party hostels. Strongly recommended.

Great hostel--friendly staff, great atmosphere and original decor, has everything you need (internet, coffee, books, info etc), an overall great choice for the authentic backpacking experience that you don't get at many hostels anymore. I had no insect problems like an earlier commenter said, the place was very clean and the staff was very helpful. Will definitely stay there again.
The Hostel is perfectly designed in such a way to encourage bedbugs, and that's exactly what I got - vicious bloodsucking beasts that caused enormous itchy red welts appearing all over my body. Staff did not appear to be that concerned. Avoid this place like the (literal) plague.
Such a cosy place with a familiar atmosphere!! Staying there feels like stopping by at a far-family -members house.. :)
It was a really great place, if you like meet people, and feel just like at home this is for you. Forget your intimacy because there's 2 big shared rooms but the atmosphere is just amazing. You can spend the day inside if you're tired, cooking, talking, playing guitar, and being cut from the city effervescence. I'll definitly come back there one day.
The hostel is small but very comfortable, very good place to stay if you are traveling alone. The staff is very gentle and they also hire bikes.
Just like a hostel should be. the staff are super friendly and at the check in, not only gave us a map but also 100s of information on what to see, what to do, where to avoid (tourist rip-off places). Coming back to the hostel at the end of the day felt like coming home or going to a friends place. Its not really a party place but they take you out and show you whats the best. even to some house parties sometime. extremely recommended

Amazing hostel and by far the best i have ever stayed at. Super awesome chilled staff, rooms, facilities and location. 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets, great atmosphere. If you are considering several hostels pick this one. Guaranteed you won't regret it :)
The hostel and it's staff are amazing. It rendered my experience in Budapest enchanting...I will most likely return, not only for the beautiful city and all of it's interesting history, but above all to revisit the hostel and the staff - Mandala hostel offers an extremely open and peaceful atmosphere because of it's inviting ambient and open-minded and extremely helpful staff.
This feels more like coming home than staying at a hostel. The staff are extremely friendly, and hapily advise you on things to do/see in the city. The beds are comfortable and the decor is fabulous!
Very good place to stay. After knocking the entrance door, you just follow the red carpet.
We checked in rather early the day we arrived in Budapest, and this was OK with them. They had a private room available due to a cancellation, which they offered to us at a reduced rate. The hot water seemed to work well, it was clean and had a fun atmosphere. I didn't see much of the shared dorms-I'm not sure how much privacy those had, but our private room was fine. I had seen other comments that it was hard to find, but I really didn't think so. I would recommend to others.
