The Heart of Gold Hostel Berlin is the Starship of the Berlin Hostels. First and only theme hostel, inspired by “The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy”.

Most centrally located in the heart of Berlin - just one stop from the main central station - Hauptbahnhof. Almost all sights are within walking distance.

It is a unique state-of-the-art hostel that looks a bit like the spaceship, but then again it isn't - really and is mostly harmless.

Snacks and drinks at the bar between 6pm and 5am. Breakfast buffet served daily between 8 am and noon for 4 Euros incl. drinks.

Most of the rooms are painted by different artists and feature a table and chairs, a mirror and a huge window.

We offer a number of different room types including singles and twins with shower and washbasin, 3-8 bed dorms with shared facilities and luxury apartments for up to 10 people.

In the dorm rooms you'll find bunk beds and normal beds, each with a reading light. There is one locker per person where you can lock your stuff using a pad-lock, which is available for 10 € deposit, which you get back on check-out.

Sheets are included, but we charge a 5 € deposit which you also get back on checkout.

    had an absolutely delight time in heart of gold hostel. in the very center of Berlin, close to u- and s-bahn stations, as well as shops, venues and restaurants, HOG hostel is the perfect choice. will come back there, no doubt.

    It's a really nice place to stay. It is cheap for that what they offer: centric location, free breakfast (at least at the time we were there) and they also receive you with free coffee or tee at your arrival. I strongly recommend it if you are going with friends or even if you are travelling alone, because you always get to know more people in your room or in the common room, where they also is a billard table. Not more than two minutes walking you can take the S-Bahn or the U-Bahn, but you can also walk around 20 minutes to the Brandenburger Tor or the famous street Unter den Linden. I do not regret any moment staying in this hostel!!

    Was a very nice place, clean, not far from the station and from touristic places. The buffet breakfast was very good. The rooms were big comfortable and with big windows. I recomend this place 100°/.
