location is nice, building is nice, but the dorm I was in was way too small for the number of beds / people so it was hot and not enough air

  2. Alain From Italy On November 30, -0001

Not the cleanest place, but considering the position and the price is a good deal. The staff is helpful, the rooms are as clean as rooms of more than 10 people can be.

  3. Thorben From Germany On November 30, -0001

The rooms are ok and the washroom to. The breakfast is for free but terrible.

  4. Leonhard From Germany On November 30, -0001

The place felt like a prison and I didn't want my room. But even though giving my key and everything immediately back and leaving, they charged me the full price.

  5. Diego From Spain On November 30, -0001

A cheap and convenient hostel in good location. It's the most of what you can get for 9 GBP/night. The staff is usually very friendly although there are a couple of ones from the night shift who tend to be rude and lack English skills. Overall pretty decent for the price, but don't expect any luxury. Best thing: individual room toilets. Worst thing: the labyrinth in the basement.

  6. LUIS GENARO From Mexico On November 30, -0001

There is NO free internet. If you want internet, then you have to pay, and there are just 4 computers for all the hostal. The kitchen is not that clean and the plates are not enough, you cant even find a glass to drink water!!!!

  7. Johan From Sweden On November 30, -0001

The whole place smells like chlorine. Kinda nice if you’re into synchronized swimming but im not. If you’re over 185cm long, the beds are to short and you’ll have to sleep with you knees bent. The location is great though, walking distance to a lot of interesting places. So if you like the smell of swimming pools and are under 185cm ish. Go for it!

  8. Vanessa From France On November 30, -0001

Close from all accomodations, clean. Just one thing: it's a pity there are showers only at the level below ground floor... Not convenient if you're at the upper level of the hostel...

  9. Marta From Italy On November 30, -0001

very economical, the beds have curtains to ensure privacy and they are very effective, the rooms in the basement are quite bad with little windows. economical and spartan as alla hostels, the staff is very helpful and it is goodly located. overall the best hostel I've ever been in London so far, counting a lot on the price.

if you are looking for place to sleep and good position this is it but nothing more. rooms too snall to hang outm bed linen is clean, showers ok. a little weird smell in the hostel

About average. No major complaints but also nothing to really highlight

  12. Manuel From Italy On November 30, -0001

I've really appreciated this hostel. It is in a quite central position, near several good restaurant, pubs and underground. The bedroom and the toilet are clean. For sure beds are too much short (180cm).

  13. Agenor From Brazil On November 30, -0001

The (REALLY) bad: I had a terrible experience in dealing with the staff at the front desk. I found it difficult to get any help in the small issues I had during my stay and, to be honest, they didn't seem bother too much about it. I stayed in a 12-bed room which seemed a cross in between the Japanese capsule hotels (in regarding the minuscule space available) and a prison cell (the bed sheets were still displaying signs of use from the previous "inmate"). The good: the location is great, if you are going to use the Euston rail station or if you planning on visiting the British Museum.

  14. Lucas From Portugal On November 30, -0001

A lot of people in a small place! The common areas turns tiny with everybody. The "house" looks like a maze. Underground showers, far for some rooms. Better not considerate the breakfast too (corn flakes and bread). The 24 beds room is a no peace place. Localization is nice and the price could be determinant

  15. Miglena From Bulgaria On November 30, -0001

Smart Russell square is good place for staying in a short period of time.Thehostel is clean and the staff is polite

  16. Vicente From Spain On November 30, -0001

Very good comon rooms, but the service and de Guest Policy is shamed. Dirty Beds and Showers

  17. Bruno From Portugal On November 30, -0001

It's clearly supposed to be a budget hostel. For the price asked, you get a very good service - but don't expect, like most reviewers in this website, treatment worthy of the Queen. The breakfast is pretty acceptable (you have access to sliced bread and toasters, hot water, milk, coffee and tea), the rooms aren't extremely comfortable, but allow for a good night's sleep, and though the showers are in the basement and far from most of the rooms, the conditions aren't so bad. It could be closer to the city center, but it has good access to buses and the subway (if you don't mind paying the tickets). It's about 3Km away from the main attractions, which translates into a 30/40 min walk. Overall, I quite enjoyed it and will go back there if I ever return to London.

  18. Katre From Estonia On November 30, -0001

you should really have cases for blankets too, because you do not wash them after using. also you should give a towel to every guest and somewhere should have been mentioned that the showering conditions are like that and the security guards should have been more kind and polite to visitors.

  19. Daniela From Italy On November 30, -0001

rooms and common spaces were very clean and organized, even if the hostel was very busy. Nice breakfast and comfortable common areas. Reception and staff were very organized, and the hostel is 1 min walk from the tube and a 24 hours Tesco Express.

Central location was great (a block or two away from an underground station). Neighborhood around the hostel had some good ethnic restaurants. Bed was comfy enough, liked the privacy curtain. In a room of 20 people.... more than one tiny little fan is needed to cool the room down. Many residents were loud at all hours of the night. The showers being in the basement was fine; the scalding hot water was not. Overall, it was ok due to the location and cheap price but I will look elsewhere next time I book a hostel in London.
