    Prague:

The magnificent National Museum in Nové Město is famed for its exterior. However, the millions of exhibited artefacts include superb mineral, palaeontological and zoological finds and should not be missed. There are also unique exhibits of Czech medals and music.

Occupying a prime location in Wenceslas Square, this massive neo-Renaissance structure was founded by Joseph Schulz in 1818 and stands as an architectural monument to the Czech national revival of the 19th century.

The museum hosts a number of temporary exhibitions alongside its permanent collection, which includes information and artefacts concerned with primeval Bohemian history, anthropology, mineralogy and zoology.
