Overlooking Innsbruck, the state-of-the-art Bergisel ski jump offers giddying views of the city, framed by Alpine peaks. The brainchild of Iraq-born architect Zaha Hadid, the steel-and-glass tower and ski jump cost a cool €15.4 million and opened in 2002.
If you're daunted by the thought of climbing 455 steps, there's a speedy funicular to take you to the top. The viewing platform affords spectacular 360° views.
