Very noisy the walls are thin you can hear talking in the common area as well from other rooms in the morning and night. One if the reception person was not all that nice. I had first one room and told to switch because of a group booking. I was told to get a receipt when I leave when I arrived but told when I check out. When I wanted my receipt it was not ready was told 10am by then I had to catch my flight. Not really organized. bunk beds some have no guard rail you can fall off the top. There is a chair but no table in the room.

ALL GOOD ROMANA WAS A FANTASTIC AND UP FRONT GUY WHO cared about his guests, only draw back was the wet floor in the shower/toilet rooms. If he offers you advise on places to go then take them on board as ther is no pressure selling or anything and do try the resturant he recommends just down the road as it is really good and reasonable in price. NOW ENJOY ROME!!!!!

We got a small but a very clean and cosy room with a bathroom. The B&B is located 5min to the central station where you can get a metro or a bus. Main city attractions are not far away (e.g. you can reach collosseum in 20min. by foot), the shopping streets are very close as well. The B&B host is very helpful, he is going to help you and give all the information with all the questions you may have about the city.

The pictures on the website have not been updated in 5 years. The kitchen is not clean, there is no soap or sponge to clean the dishes. The towels and sheets are broken. I DON'T RECOMMEND.

The only regret I have: that I didn't stay all length of my trip at Walter Rooms. I had to compare my stays in Rome: 1. at expensive hotel, 2.and at a mid range hotel, 3.with Walter Rooms. Walter rooms were better. It just was not looking expensive. But it is not about a looks ,- what is important, isn't it? 1. Most important for me is value for money. When I was checking out from expensive hotel,- I got VERY high additional bill with city fees and taxes. When I did stay at mid range hotel,- fees and taxes were still steep, on top of linen/towel hire! Walter rooms city tax was pleasantly low. Partly because it has a lowest price even compare to other hostels. Your money can stretch for much longer in Walter Rooms. 2. WIFI was 10 times better that in expensive hotel!!!!!! Never had any problems in Walter Rooms. WIFI was a main reason I checked out from expensive hotel. I did try in few hotels and hostels (I had work to do online), - but Walter Rooms was fastest. 3. Location absolutely incredible: short walk to Termini station or couple stops ride on a tram,- from door to door. A lot of roads in a center of Rome are cobblestone roads. After rolling a suitcases for longer time, to/from other hotels,- I learned to appreciate Walter Rooms,- how short is a walk and how good is a surface of road. 4.Other hostels what I looked in,- did not had elevator. Walter Rooms, - has. (I hate to drug my luggage upstairs.) 5. Walter and his staff were so kind to guests. This review will be too long if I will describe it. 6. It was plenty of free food offered to a guests (even the one what Walter was cooking for himself and his girlfriend!!!). 7. It was very easy to find and to get into a hostel, because: a) I read ALL email what was send to me after booking. Everything was explained. b)I put arrival time into my booking. I wrote email and called upon arrival. It is a small hostel (not a big chain) at a center of Rome,- of cause arrival time has to be organised! 8. Quiet building with thick walls, quiet street. Good sleep at night. 9. Mosquito net on window. Result ,- no mosquitoes in Walter Rooms. My expensive hotel was a nightmare! 10. Hot shower. Ensuite bathroom in a female dorm, so it is no need to get dressed to go to bathroom. Extra bathroom is available in hallway. 11. High ceilings with a thick walls, with fan. Because of it,- one day when it was plus 36 C outside,- it was OK inside Walter Rooms. Overall it is a 5 stars quality for modest price and modest looking tiny hostel. If you used to big hotels/ hostels,- pay more and book there. I would came back to Walter Rooms. I highly recommend it to others.

The room is clean and cozy. Bathroom is always clean as well. Breakfast was simple but enough. Nothing to complain about. Our hostess was really friendly and helpful

Elien From Belgium On November 30, -0001

The location was excellent, it's a 1 minute walk from the Termini station. When we arrived, there was nobody present. And it really wasn't clear where we had to go. After calling the woman (don't know her name) she came down but it was obvious she drank a little too much. She also didn't speak a word English. The bathroom was clean though, and we got new towels every two days. The streets aren't too noisy as well. I would recommend ear plugs though, because there's a dorm room, and if you're unlucky with the people who are staying there, they will keep you awake after midnight. The breakfast really was poor. We bought some pastries in a supermarket because we were so hungry. We chose this b&b because the station was so close and it had airco. But if you want something more, I would recommend to spend more money.

We had a double private room, and we really liked it. More like an apartment than a hostel, so we stayed an extra day. The guy running the place is great, really friendly and helpfull. If there was Wifi in the room it would have been perfect, but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

Very nice location and place to stay if you want to have your privacy. The appartments are nice and very comfortable with own bedroom, bathroom and kitchen (with all items necessary for cooking). ALso clubs and discotheks around the corner where a lot of young people are going Only thing to consider: Call the host before arriving, so he may wait for you!
