Perfectly acceptable hostel - the beds have private lights and outlets which was quite nice, and they gave each guest two free drink tickets. Lots of American tourists. Great placement right on the Hauptbahnhof. The showers were not great, and the bathrooms are communal. Good for the price. |

Location and breakfast were very nice. And friendly environment. But the facilities were little bit old. So I don't like the environment. But I'll really recommend for others. |

For a hotel in one of the most expensive german cities which is located quite centrally it's a quite alright money for value ratio. The mattresses were a bit gooey for my taste though. |

This place was in crisis. I hope for their sake, and the sake of their guests, that it is only temporary. The cleaning company they use had gone bankrupt and didn't show up to clean on the day I checked in. They only "cleaned" the bathroom once in the 4 days I was in my mixed dorm there. The bathroom on the bottom floor had some kind of flooding problem and there was poop everywhere. On top of this, the hallways smell like a sweaty guy who left his clothes in the washing machine for too long. I think this is a permanent problem. This place is what gives hostels a bad name. I had never had a truly bad experience at a hostel until this place. If it hadn't been for Sebastian, the cool, patient, empathetic and kind front desk worker, I would have hated this place completely. I wish he worked at a nice hostel because he is too good for this place. Thankfully, Munich is amazing and as long as I was out and about, I didn't think about my terrible hostel. If you had a choice between staying here or not staying in Munich at all, I would take the gamble that maybe they would get their S*** together in time for your arrival. |
